I am in need of cash and although I hate to let this baby go. I really must to get out of this little situations.

Modified PS2 SCPH-500001

This is the last model of the "fat" PS2s. This model is slightly improved and is known to run alot quieter and cooler. It also incorporates built in IR for the new PS2 remote that came out for the slim PS2s. Oh yeah and progressive scan as well.

I have had it modded locally by a professional with the latest DMS Pro chip. This chip will boot up all imports and backups without any tampering or button pressing, simply pop in a game and it will load. I also flashed the chip with the latest ToxicOS software.

In case you don't know what ToxicOS is, it is basically an improved HDloader that is built in the PS2. You can download your PS2 games to your Hard Drive without disk swapping and run them without having a disk in the tray at all. It also can run some homebrew programs but I never tried those.

The PS2 also comes with an ethernet adaptor and a 500GB Seagate Hard Drive. The average game is 3 Gigs or so.. so you do the math.

It also comes with two logitech wireless controllers, two Sony brand memory cards, and the remote control. So you will have everything you need right out of the box.

Since the board is so anal about mentioning ISOs, and roms ... etc. I am not going to say what I have stored on the Hard Drive. It will be the buyers choice wether he wants me to do a format on the PS2 or not. But please don't ask me if there are any games on it.

Condition wise I would have to say excellent. It was mint when I got it, but I accidently scuffed the front of the PS2 just a little bit. Overall it is very clean. I have put a yellow skin on it, but it can easily be removed.

I don't have the original box or the original controllers. However, you will get the wireless controllers. I will also include a PS2 box that used to belong to a japanese system.

Yeah I explained myself in another thread. I am not going to go into details, but I had a personal problem and am very sorry. I have apologized to everyone that has dealed with me and did not receive their items in time. Their stuff is already shipped and they all have received their tracking numbers.

I have 8 positives here. 219 positives on ebay. I never had a problem with a sale or a deal except one time, Where the buyer was extremely unreasonable.

I know I fucked up by being late. And I am sorry, but there is definately no scamming going on here. If any of them feel that I should do something to make up for it, shoot me a PM and I will make sure you will end up happy.

Now back on the subject, buy this PS2 or die. It will ship right away, promise

Latest Xecuter chip are you sure its Xecuter? Cause they are a xbox & ps3 group not a ps2 group
500GB Hard Drive. - runs around 175 its hard to say cause we dont know how old the hd is
Ethernet Adapter - around 30
Two Logitech wireless controllers - 20 dollars
Two Sony brand memory cards - roughly 15-20 dollars
Sony brand remote - 10 dollars
Yellow skin - if this is a skin and not a shell it would go for 8 dollars if its the shell it goes for 20

so totally up everything your looking at around 300 dollars hope that helps you all its a great lot if i didnt already have a chubby ps2 i'd buy it..by the way..the hacked hd loader software is the best for compatibility..

You are in fact right. I have confused the Xecuter in my xbox with the DMS4 SE Pro chip in this PS2.

The estimates that you provided are pretty much dead on what this system would run today. It is a fairly new system and has the most current Seagate Hard Drive in it. I didn't see the Hard Drive going for any less than 200 dollars anywhere.

However, when you added them up it seems that you forgot the price for the modchip which will run 50 - 60 dollars easy.

So a closer figure of what this setup would cost you to assemble is around 350 minimum. IMO it is closer to 385 dollars or so given that you install the chip yourself.

I am not aiming as high as that... hoping to get around 280 shipped through priority mail. I think it is a fair price for someone that has been looking for something like this. A PS2 and a Hard Drive would run you that much alone. So basically it's like you are getting a free latest chip with installation, wireless controllers, 2 memory cards, sony remote, ethernet adaptor .. all delivered to your door

That is such a sweet deal. I wish I could jump on this, but I just purchased 2 arcade sticks from other users on this forum. Maybe if this is still up for grabs later on, but then again only one can dream.

Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to download PSX games to the hard drive. I haven't been keeping up with the "scene" for a while. But at that time and I did a little research and didn't find a way to do that. But.. CDRs are cheap so you can play backups all you want.

As far as ballpark figure goes. I already mentioned earlier that I am looking for 280 dollars shipped.

280 shipped is a damn good deal. Most people just sell a modded system, cables, one controller for around 200 a pop. But seeing as how you're offering a 500gb hdd, wireless controllers, memory cards, etc, one would be a fool to say you're asking too much.

Basically if anyone remembers a couple years back HDLOADER (aka god sent) the toxic os runs some of that code and improved it. IMO one of the best things to ever happen to the ps2. Sadly tho it doesnt play ps1 games

Corrections needed here.

Dual Layer games ARE compatible. I have used God of War and Gran Turismo 4 on it with absolutely no problems. I beat both right from the HD.

The PS2 will play all PSone backups and originals from all regions. However, it will not download them to the HD. Same goes for DVD and Audio. Everything will play fine except you cannot download them to the HD
