Keep in mind some vendors make cheaper versions of their items just for Black Friday.
Scrutinize that TV SKU to make sure you dont buy a featureless version of what you really wanted.

Best Buy opened up early BF access for Elite/Elite Plus users today, so I got most of the games I wanted.
XB1:
Skyrim
MGSV Definitive
Farcry Primal
Xcom 2

3DS:
Bravely Second
Fire Emblem Fates & Conquest

PS4:
MLB 16
Until Dawn
Homefront Steelbook

Plus a dozen or so Blu-ray's for cheap. Barnes and Noble is having their half-off Criterion sale until the 28th so I have picked up around 25 of those as well over the last week. Not much else I really need/want. Maybe a few movies from Wal-mart but I am pretty much done and I won't have to set foot in any store.

unless they do 50% off LGA2011 v3 cpu's.... then probably nothing.
although a 1TB SSD for under $100 would be cool :spock:

They really haven't had anything new or hip for black Friday in some time. It has been the same crap for the last 5 years.

Only decent new entry are cheap turntables.... If you don't have one and need one.

I spent sixteen years working for an employer that didn't give my department Black Friday off, but the rest of the building was allowed to stay home. My role in that department wasn't necessary on that day but I was stuck there because responsibility, yo.

So I always go out on Black Friday now. I missed the insanity and the excitement of being out in it and seeing people take part in it.

It's likely I won't buy anything unless I see some movies on sale cheap but probably not even then. I am really starting to grow tired of video games, strange as it may seem. What I mean is: In order for me to drop money on a game now, I need to see something that blows me away or that is a production specifically tied to something I have irrational affection for (Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, etc.)

I DID pick up Titanfall 2 when Target was selling it for 35 bucks a few weeks ago because I like mecha and this one has a single player campaign I can get invested in, but I have yet to play it.

Thinking about picking up a ps4 through amazon. I work on black Friday and even if I didn't I wouldn't leave my house to go shopping.

I'm hoping Retrogate do their usual discount, I'd like an N8.

Good call on the Criterion collection. Anyone who likes animation should get Fantastic Planet if you haven't yet.

Krikzz does 20% off everything: https://krikzz.com/store/

I got my N8 there last year.

I already did my Black Friday shopping at Costco. Had been saving pennies and picked up a new 60" 4K Samsung, the mount should be delivered on Wednesday and I might install it on Friday.

I was planning pon picking up an external HDD and probably some cheap movies or games if they tickle my fancy. Usually BF is used to get the majority of holiday shopping out of the way.

Ha, that was one of the ones I picked up. It hasn't arrived yet and I don't know much about it but the cover looked neat enough for me to blind buy it. Also rounded out the remaining Hitchcock and Chaplin Criterion's I was missing so I am pretty happy :)

might pick up a game or 2. Some of the Shantae games that limited run games did physical releases for will be up on their site for black friday. So i may try and get one of those

No current plans to buy anything, but if I can get a sweet online deal on a 500GB SSD for my laptop, I'll pull the trigger.

I refuse to join the morning madness, but I might pop into WalMart to see if they have any bluray deals, my local one usually has plenty of discs all weekend.

I thought about picking those up the first time around and passed. I'm really holding out for a $30-ish collection disc that has every Shantae game on it, which I'm not sure will ever happen. That having been said, I have nothing against the limited run site... I picked up Shadow Complex from them awhile back and it's quality stuff.

I might buy some car parts for my WRX depending on certain sites' discounts. Other than that, nothing really comes to mind.

It's a French cut-out animation, which is the style Terry Gilliam frequently used. But it's all very surreal - the art, the music, the story - everything. The plot, without spoiling anything, is about an alien civilization that sees humans as pets. It was pretty hard to find on DVD until now, and the extras and remastering are definitely worth the Criterion tax.

Criterion should just make a book of all their cover art. I come pretty close to buying stuff just because the cover art is so nice.
