I know it's a typo, but I'd love a "Kind of Fighters" game. Just have a wacky cast of characters that can only kinda sorta fight. Lol.Personally, I'd rather not have a new Kind of Fighters or Metal Slug or whatever if any part of it was AI generated/assisted. This might sound like hyperbole but I assure you it is not. You know that feeling when you visit the Sistine Chapel (or some such place), you look up at that magnificent ceiling and think "how did one person, one human being who had the same starting point as myself produce something so magnificent!" This is somewhat similar to how I feel when playing an SNK game. The graphics and gameplay being produced by another person's hard work is all part of the experience.
Using AI for any part of a new SNK game will take away from the experience (significantly). Even if it is a case of -human draws one frame of animation and the AI extrapolates the rest- it might save time, money and make the venture profitable and hence make the venture happen in the first place - it would not be worth it because it is not a real SNK game. It's a lame ass AI piece of crap. Even if it looks 1:1 with a 'real' SNK game there will be some uncanny valley vibe to it. One might argue that it would be fine to use AI in something like testing, one could argue that people don't see, feel or hear testing. But I'd argue against that too.
Code written by AI looks 'fake'. It's hard to describe, the code just looks too perfect, it is 'synthetic' looking. If a game is tested by AI it would just be perfect, and completely bug free. But as we all know, bugs/glitches are part of the gaming experience and even at times evolve into real gameplay (think Street Fighter 2's combo system).
It's worked for us here at the hyphen. We should invite Harada to join us here.

I'll call him a faggot ching chong.just remember not to go full michael beard on him when he shows up
Man gave his 2 weeks notice resignation the moment he saw Harada's new studio. The math's adding up .everyone left b@nco , they going for snk
;;Tekken 8 game director Kohei Ikeda has left Bandai Namco after 20 years at the company ;;
I seem to remember reading that other than being a tyrant the prince was a big fan of Japanese fighting games.Bandai is becoming increasingly westernized in its corporate structure. Wouldn't surprise me at all to discover that these guys are all bugging out because SNK, despite being owned by the Saudis, is still essentially a 'Japanese' company.
I base this theory on nothing other than my own headcanon and don't really take it as 'truth'. One of those 'yeah, that tracks' in retrospect things.
Yeah except for that DJ that should have been Duck King and Ronaldo.I seem to remember reading that other than being a tyrant the prince was a big fan of Japanese fighting games.
So it would make sense he would want SNK to keep it's "flavour" if you will and exert little influence.
At this point, I'm amazed that the UC Gundam anime hasn't turned into westernized trash.The Bandai Namco store in Brooklyn doesn't even bother with a single fighting game in its arcade section.
Yea its just regular trash insteadAt this point, I'm amazed that the UC Gundam anime hasn't turned into westernized trash.
No argument.Yeah except for that DJ that should have been Duck King and Ronaldo.
Yeah, I like the sound of that guy a lot. Spot-on reply.It's worked for us here at the hyphen. We should invite Harada to join us here.
Hey, fuck you buddy!Yea its just regular trash instead
This is way funnier if you read it in "formal & polite Japanese businessman" voice like his VS announcement video.
