SNK/Playmore Tournaments

We should have more of these...
Not many people have tried to organize one since the death of the Neo Showdowns. There are arcades in the US that do have MVS machines, some that have the newest games. Do you think that if certain people were to contact Playmore about sponsoring a few US tournaments, along with fellow list members from these forums would help things?

I say this, for I look at the SRK forums and see how they have this system called APEX that they use to track tournaments all over North America. With the number of people we have on this list, we should be able to do the same thing...

Not many people here are KOF experts.Hate to say it but its true.Of course,there is some but only a handful.Some people(not all) here own the KOF games either for collection or for selling them off.

Most of the KOF tournaments happen outside the US.Countries such as Mexico,singapore,HK and some others such as japan or korea have KOF tournaments as these countries have the real experts and these countries are KOF crazed countries too.In the US,KOF just don't "cut it".

I would love to see a tournament set up, especially around where I live. I have never had the chance to play KOF against expert players, I feel cheated not getting the best competition I can get.

I can't consider myself an expert since I don't know what is the rank of an expert.

I beat all KOF without losing a credit, and some of them without losing a round.

What is an expert ? beating the game only with perfects ??

I prefer 100000 times more to play against humans than against the CPU.

Those who have the technical skill and knows the game extremely well is an expert or a very good player.They can land big combos, they can read the opponent's moves and counter and most importantly, they aren't scrubs.They know the game engine very well.They know what they are doing.They are also the ones who have taken part in tournaments or have played in the arcades with other good players and have some experience.They always seek to improve their skills.
Beating the game with perfects or beating a game with no continues/losing a round does not make a person an expert.
Like i have said, this forum has only a handful of good players.Look at the KOF board for god's sake.Not many people are discussing gameplay or combos like they are supposed to.And even in the gameplay forum,its the same.I am not trying to bash anyone.Its a fact that not much people over here know a shit about KOF.
