I think a lot of you are mistaking SNKP's desire to do pachinko vs. the need to do pachinko. That was the only thing propping them up over the last decade. If the games were sustaining the company, they would have had the manpower to do both or forgo the pachinko business altogether.

This sounds like the downward spiral of "SNK" again.

SNK Playmore leaving the Pachinko business doesn't surprise me as their is a big push to legalize gambling in Japan. Remember, gambling is still illegal in Japan and there is a push to get rid of these sleezy backstreet pachinko parlors. They want to get this stuff out of the shadows on the backstreets and create Mega Resort Casinos like we have in Las Vegas here.

Speaking of slots, I've seen a few Aruze slot machines which look like they could of been done by some Neo programmers. Pretty cool actually.

Konami has built some nice new offices in Las Vegas over the last few years. I think they are just for slot based gaming and I doubt there is any video game development going on there.

I wish Konami would follow suit. Maybe this will force SNK to actually do something with some of their properties. I like using my PC Neo-Geo CD USB pads. I wish they would go more so that route vs Neo Geo X
