GothicSamurai said:Here is my 2 cents if any of you care. I think a universal petition and a letter would be good. Someone draft a universal letter that is first in English then translated into Japanese and have two copies (one English and one Japanese) sent off to both SNKP of Japan and SNKP of U.S. Then have an online petition as well and E-Mail the results to both companies. Think of each company getting one letter from each of us. And all it would take is a few of us, shelling out $.37 to mail to the U.S. and probably $1.50 (guess here) to Japan. And/or fax the letters as well. This might turn a few heads. But overall, I am not going to jump on this until I know for a fact that there is no code or something of that effect for the fatalities. I currently own the Japanese version of the game and was shocked that even this version had no fatalities (or at least the ones seen on the website). Also a print out and/or snapshot should be made of the website (with a date included) with the fatalities pictured. This should be sent along with the petition. The main fact this is bullshit (besides all the other reasons) is that if this had something to do with censorship, then why the blood and the less brutal fatalities? What is the difference between someone getting a head cut off as opposed to getting a sword rammed through there gut? Either way that is violence and shows death. Then again this is the only country that produces porn but censores it. That still pisses me off! This might not be a SNKP thing after all, it seems something much larger was involved. But I am waiting for more facts before I act. However, I am in 100% when an idea is becomes real. I really hate paying $359.00 for a game that isn't complete.
This wouldn't have happened if NGF handled the home cart release.

still, better to give it a try, than to simply give up.
if people would always remain silent how could
change for the good be accomplished?

NeoLord said:I don't know about everyone else, but I don't blame any of this on Shawn. I'm rightfully pissed at Playmore for butchering what should have been the best SS game since the release of SS 3.
Stinky-Dinkins said:Agreed... if anything Shawn "picked the smallest straw." He's got many SSVS's to move, and now in light of this situation much of the Neo fanbase is turned off to the game. SNKP has fucked us all over -- Shawn included.
Verythrax said:Fixed for you.
Verythrax said:I agree, but it's just a matter of procedures here. If the item you bought is faulty, you must ask for a refund to the store where you bought it. The store, since the fault is from the manufacturer, must send back the items to the the manufacturer, and got refund.
Just like a malfunction cart.
Stinky-Dinkins said:That's the problem... it's not a matter of the cart malfuntioning. It works exactly how SNKP intended to work. They offered no guarantee as to the gameplay specifics regarding the homecart that wasn't present upon release. They simply purposely misled us.
Verythrax said:Exactly, but is fake advertising. You all have the right to a refund - but the normal way to get the refund is through the store where you bought it.
Stinky-Dinkins said:It's not false advertising because they offered no concrete guarantee that the fatalities would be included in the home cart release... to my knowledge. They explicitly stated that the release was subject to change.
Verythrax said:No disclaimer can be found at the site saying that the final product would be subject to change.
Stinky-Dinkins said:SNKP whispered it into my ear as they were porking me, and every other Neo Geo fan, in the ass.
I told you it was explicit.

Never bought an NGF product, but I strangely agree that THA BIG TYMERS wouldn't have let it stoop this low. If anything they'd have probably tried to add things that weren't in the game originally. It's times like this I wonder who the bigger criminals really are... SNKP or NGF?
Bobak said:In addition to screwing with the inserts, NGF would've sold the games as is with a spectacular mark up as the "final Neo Game, own a piece of history" or some BS like that.
Do any of you actually remember how they handled KOF2k?
They raised the price several times as quantities shrank?
Seriously people, I will not sit back and let people rewrite history for those morons.

If they handled it, it would have never been released Period. They also burned that bridge as well with the fans and SNKP. Besides they could not handle a release look at Zupapa.
I am waiting to hear what will happen, I also talked with Trey as well and he is going to hold off. A bios fix is not the answer for me but alas may be the only hope for most. that is if it is even able to be fixed via Bios.
I think they are already aware of our displeasure, how can they not be. Although it may feel good to Fax/mail them something i do not feel like support the Japanese recyceling program at the moment.
Well, in that case, I shall remind you that gamecritics.com forum member Mr. Blond is a practical encyclopedia on video game censorship issues. He should be the first guy you consult.Abster said:Perhaps some people should form an anti-video game censorship group? I haven't updated my sister site in ages and am thinking of making a new site dedicated to standing up against issues like these.
