I hope it does happen in CotW. Bring new eyes to Fatal Fury, and let Fatal Fury replace KoF as the flagship SNK property. As it should be.I actually hope that crossover doesn't happen in COTW.
I don't see FF taking over KoF but if a cross over on the SNK side is going to happen it's going to be in COTW since it doesn't look like it's going to happen in KoF.I hope it does happen in CotW. Never say never.FF will never take over KOF as the flagship,
This is probably a hot take, but I'd love an actual 3d fighter take on AoFI'm very curious to see what they do with another AOF. I think they should pull a MOTW/COTW and do a time jump. Bring back some of the classic characters in older forms, and new characters either on their own or as disciples of the old guard. Otherwise, fully embrace that it still takes place in the late 70s/80s before Fatal Fury 1 occurs in 1992, and bring back the whole AOF 2 roster and then some.
So they added an art gallery but didn't spend a few hours fixing the broke af engine
That's not true. I'd love for it to get fixed. I would buy it in a second if they made a substantial effort of fixing the game's problems.Besides, anyone who actually wants to buy SvC Chaos doesn't want the game fixed...

Yeah. I'm sure this release is an emulator with some window dressing. Actually going in and updating the original assembly code beyond some light rom hacking is a whole different ball game.Adding an art gallery takes a few hours... fixing that engine would take an eternity
Scores, surely."There are dozens of us. Dozens!!"
It's really unfortunate that NGBC got left in the dust. It's the best SNK fighting game of the 2000's if you ask me. Would love to see another one made but I'm not holding my breath."There are dozens of us. Dozens!!"
Might I suggest NGBC? No juicy Capcom sprites but it's otherwise just the complete, beta-tested version of SvC.
I'm not sure about doing that as a proper AoF series entry, but I'd definitely be down to play something like that.Ryu in CotW would be pretty cool. I wouldn't hate it at all.
AoF should be reimagined as a beat 'em up. The first game's story concept is basically Final Fight as a fighting game, anyway. Unlockable characters and bosses, plenty of Mr. Big's thugs or Geese's corrupt cops to thrash. Hell, combine the first two games into one and just go for it. Even do crossover characters like Terry, Athena, etc.

I thought and still think it was an extremely daft idea for a game with little in the way of taste. One of those ideas even Capcom fell for and failed to execute properlyIt's really unfortunate that NGBC got left in the dust. It's the best SNK fighting game of the 2000's if you ask me. Different strokes I guess, but I absolutely loved it. It was a blast to play, the tag mechanics were done well, the gamefeel is amazing and butter smooth, the roster is awesome, the sprite-work is top notch, and the stages are well done. Not a huge fan of the game personally but it's got a lot of fun non-standard roster choices and it's worlds better than SvC to play.
