SNK in one game or less...

If you had to show someone who knew nothing of SNK or the Neo what SNK and the Neo were all about and you could only use one game to do so which game would it be?

And it has to be one singular game, I'm holding a gun to your head.

I'd go with Metal Slug. Yes, Nazca did the development on 1 before they were absorbed by SNK but when I think of SNK and the Neo I think Metal Slug. It has everything that I consider to be the essence of SNK: great, addicting game play that keeps you coming back, amazing animation and mind boggling attention to detail. If I have to show 1 game to a noobie to show them what SNK is all about its all Slug.

I like MotW, but Last Blade eats it alive.

Even if Magician Lord would be quite legitimate for me, I think I'll go with Fatal Fury, finally it all started there.

After you can fing smoother, faster, nicer games but IMHO FF is the base on which a large part soft line-up was built.

Metal slug 1 is my favorite and I would use this to show it wasn't all fighters also. for fighters it'd be either a samsho game or most likely motw. I've introduced a number of people to SNK/neo geo by using metal slug and even created some die hard metal slug fans and also it seems alot of people do know metal slug

I'm with Tonk, Slug 3. It has it all and it's very instantly appreciable by anyone. Even my mum would understand why it was cool in a way she'd never grasp with MotW.

It wouldn't be about once you get to it which is better or whether the zombies are dull to shoot with teh pistol, it's about what grabs the person and wins you the next hour to really sit them down with something that's totally worthwhile.

I prefer last blade, but probably last blade 2. They'd be wowed by the intro
