I've been tinkering with the psp version for a few days now and I did a comparison between playing it on the psp-1000 and psp-2000(slim) model. Unfortunately there is a very noticable difference.
PSP-1000 - Most games on there have at least some sort of lag if you pause the game, but its when you resume playing that it is noticable(i.e. the sound has a bit of a delay). Kind of like how the Garou port was on the Dreamcast, but after about 8 seconds it syncs back to the correct timing. Shock Troopers has tiny loading stutters that last about 2 seconds here and there. Samurai Shodown lagged a bit on stages that had a lot of breakable objects that were animated(i.e. the flames boxes in Genan Shiranui's stage)
PSP-2000 - The slim psp had less loading time, pausing and resuming the game didn't affect the sound timing. The stuttering was reduced to practically non-existant if not that exactly.
Overall, I do not recommend this for anyone that has a psp (fat) as it does not have enough memory in the ram to run these games smoothly enough even though it is tolerable. But, if you have the newer psp (slim), then this collection is a pretty fun thing to have.
The only problem now, is finding other people that have this game. Because the psp version is very rare and I was fortunate enough to find one. Also, don't bother looking for the game at a gamestop, they only carry the PS2 version. So you'll probably have to try Amazon or something.
Edit: I almost forgot to mention, The video aspect of this game has 3 options: Standard 4:3(, Original aspect(sharpest resolution), and widescreen 16:9(looks decent but has a smooth filter) very much like the capcom classic collections have.
