What are some of the lesser known really really good games for GBA and DS? I know of a few, but I seem to always miss out, then have to pay top dollar on fleabay just to check em out.

My favorite sleepers so far are Contra 4 and Gunstar Super Heros.

What am I missing out on? All genre's please.

edit: Drill Dozer, that's it. Get that one, it's fun.

If you like strategy, Rebel Star Command is made by the same guy(s?) that did X-Com back in the day. I found that fact interesting enough, but the game is pretty good as well.

Also, Ninja Five-O is usually called a "hidden gem", even though it wasn't very hidden.

Right now I'm playing the Super Robot Taisen games(pts 1 and 2)...those are some good titles.

Summon Night 1 and 2 [FANTASTIC RPGs]
Juka and the Monophonic Menace [quirky isometric adventure]
Ghost Rider [decent beat em up, wish some slightly sloppy spots but graphically pretty cool]
Mazes of Fate [awesome dungeon crawler]
Back To Stone [isometric adventure kinda like legacy of Kain, but a password save system]
Scurge [isometric Metroid ripoff, but really good. Avoid the DS version]

Oh wow you've never heard of Drill Dozer?
dude. DUDE.
you've been missing out.

anyways, Mega Man Zero series and F-Zero GP Legend are tops.
don't mind that GP Legend was based on the F-zero anime, because I find it to be a better game than the F-zero GBA launch game.

CIMA: The Enemy

Decent action RPG about guiding helpless people through dungeons

Racing Gears

Great top down racing game like Off Road but way better and with incredible graphics.

Wario World 4

Good traditional platforming

Dot Stream

Part of Nintendo's Japan-only simple games series. Fun and simple racing with good music

Sigma Star Saga

Part shmup, part Zelda. Not great, but definitely entertaining and a surprisingly good plot

Also, most the ones people mentioned above are great. But I'd like to know are Back to Stone and Juka and the Monophonic Menace actually good? Are they worth my time?

Going to run out and snag a copy of this tonight, local Fred Meyer's stores have been closing out all of their Gamecube and GBA stuff. 40% off lowest marked price, with some of the stuff actually being clearance on top of that.

I first heard about Drill Dozer from Bokmeow year before last during after Christmas sale madness, and he scored a copy for me. Since then, I have bought other copies for my friends' kids with Nintendo handhelds when I have seen them go to clearance. Great game!

thought that I would bump this to see what newer sleeper games are out for the DS, as quite a few have been released in the last couple of months. Any good jap imports out lately?

really? I absolutely hated that game. Certainly not worth spending money on it - should have been a flash-game or something.

Since this is a Bill D thread...

The best GBA games have Barbie in them. Just buy all the Barbie-related games you can get your hands on and you'll be set.

This man speaks the truth!

I'm more of a Pokemon guy, although the games found in my area hold their value a bit too well for my taste.

I've been on a handheld kick with first the NGPC, and then the GBA recently, trying to pick up cheap titles ($<10) but mostly loose stuff.
