Are the greyhounds buses a good way to sightsee, or are they only for smelly poor people who are likely to stab, shoot or rape you?

I took an overnight bus from New York to DC once and regretted every minute of it.

Never took a Greyhound but if their buses are anything like their bus depots, I wouldn't take a trip on one even if it was free.

the only time I took a greyhound there was a lady who got in a fight with the bus driver, another lady basically dressed in a robe with curlers in her hair, and an old person who insisted on getting out at every stop to make sure no one stole their luggage and was generally very paranoid the whole time
