The game! Not revelations.

Here's the preview so you can get a feel for it:

And here's part 1:

It's the game cut into a movie style, kind of like Shenmue the movie etc. I wouldn't really care, but they have it in pretty decent 720p. It looks like they modified the PC version to get some really nice 16x9 HD visuals. (it usually runs in 4:3 etc, and I never got it to look this good). It gives a nice look at the game through somewhat fresh eyes, and gives a taste of what the HD remix might be like. (I hope its better).

You can download it at: http://www.silenthillmedia.net and stream it on youtube.

here's a taste of the HD.
It looks like the PC spit out the images really sharp, but they added some nice filmgrain to it, I think it looks really nice! I'm watching it now... I'm digging it!
(notice how you can really see Maria's blue eyes and the pupils... I never could see that on my PS2 versions. Also I loved seeing the texture of Angela's sweater and other small touches I missed before)

I may watch this or not. The first two Silent Hill games work for me because of the interactive element. Watching it as an outside observer might deaden the experience for me somehow.

But thanks for providing the info. It's good to know this is out there.

Yeah I agree. It's not the same. It's something different. More like a movie. Non interactive like you said. It's not the same edgy "Oh man I need to get out of here, scary vibe." It's something neat. I think for fans of SH2 who have played through it multiple times it's best. But by no means would I recommend a newbie to view this instead of actually experiencing Silent Hill 2 for themselves.

I'll dl that when I get home( @work ), as someone who's played the hell out of SH2 Curt's hit it on why I don't mind watching this "movie". It's nice to see all the cinemas without gunning through the game again
