thx, then I can stop searching and will most probably buy it digitally. Am I correct that this is account bound and will work if I ever upgrade to a XBone?

It’s tied to your Xbox live account, so I believe it will carry over to your Xbone if you use the same account.

I’ve downloaded my copy on a couple consoles now without trouble.

I also don’t normally do digital, but it’s only 10 bux so whatever

Is it just me or does this game not show scores at all if it's on free play?

I bought it on my 360 and have an Xbox one now. I can confirm it carries over.
I really suck at it though.

I tried a round of this on MAME and can't even say if I did beat the first level. I came past some boss with dancers, then died when seeing spiders for the first time.
Where do I see my score after denying a continue?

This part circled is the score. It's actually supposed to read like XXX.XXXX instead of us my millions. I just do millions for normal people's sake. That page I linked also tells you how to read the score, I.e. What each symbol represents.

P.S. if you beat a dude with dancers you beat the first boss

Thank you - I just skimmed over the section of the basic mechanics on the page you linked.
So I actually have to decipher my own highscore... now that's a challenge.
Ha! First boss beaten.

Managed to beat the 2nd boss with the wolf lady, it seems the start screen refuses to cycle to the highscores on MAME however and I was too slow to take a screeny on death

I think I deciphered that correctly. The sound is quite horrendous on the King of Air multi PCB for this game...
