Shitty Cab Wiring

A while back I bought some knockoff candy cabs for cheap just to mess around with them to learn more about cabs. I've had a Dynamo Capcom fighter cab for a long time, but I wanted a bit more experience.

So, I was in the process of changing out the controls and noticed something I've never seen before.

The grounds for the controls... are all daisy chained together. Nevermind everything is horrifically soldered together... but there's little connections running all over the damn place.

At this point... am I just better off buying a new JAMMA harness? I'm putting in quick release on all the wires and I don't really want to make all these little connections like that.

Yea but a new harness. Check the other plugs though like ones going to the monitor and such. Why kind of power supply is in it?

What's wrong with the grounds being daisy chained?

This crazy thing:

And the monitor chassis plugs into it with a standard AC cord. You can see it there in the back...

What's wrong with the grounds being daisy chained?

My main issue is that I want to put quick disconnects in. Wiring two wires into one disconnect and having them go everywhere will be a real pain. Beyond that, I imagine having it like this makes diagnosing connection issues annoying.

It might be repairable, personally I would get a new JAMMA harness looks like a total mess to me. Daisy chaining the grounds is fine if you get quick disconnects like these makes it easy and looks nice.

Getting a new jamma harness will require that he splice into that power supply. Not a bad idea and might not be such a fire hazard.

Is there any info on these knockoff cabs? I've heard of Chinese Astro citys but I've never seen one.

Are they just shoddier internals? How's the monitor?

I bought this thing to practice on. The controls were awful, but the monitor actually doesn't look too bad.
