I haven't been able to get this running on FBNeo, or MAME (obviously) and I even burned a NeoCD version to try with an emulator and it didn't work either. Probably did something wrong, but I def wanna check this out.

the statue of liberty graphic in the arcade version and the genesis illustrates the transition the industry had between programmer art and professional art, lmbo.Yeah, but not the arcade original IMO, the Genny version is far superior in almost any aspect, gameplay but also visuals and sound.
I'd love to play Alien Syndrome on Neo, also a System 16 game, iirc.

First of all, incredible work @h0ffman on the Shinobi port.Version 1.1 is now my final, I've got another "axe" to grind. Laters
Excuse me if I read this incorrectly, but are you saying you're sacrificing a real Neo-Geo cartridge to play a port of a game you can play anywhere else?I posted my test boards above. When I make the final plates, I will post them again. The cheapest title to disassemble is Kof97, but I also use Sidekicks 2.
With the blinding amount of homebrew and fan ports these days, flash carts are the obvious solution.Excuse me if I read this incorrectly, but are you saying you're sacrificing a real Neo-Geo cartridge to play a port of a game you can play anywhere else?
If so, fuck you.
My whole life I will never understand the point of sac'ing carts. Retarded.
Just an FYI, I booted the game on my Unibios 4.0 AES through the Neo SD and unfortunately I'm still getting graphic issues on various stages. Even turning off in-game hooks and assigning it a slot doesn't help. Especially with stages 2-1 & 2-2. Most other stages will glitch occasionally, but those 2 in particular always glitch for me on real AES hardware.Version 1.1 out now.
Should fix most of the issues you've been facing. I'm done with this one now and moving on.
Even included a Mame romset this time

Yeah I just can't seem to find this one as I cannot recreate the issue. Seems to be AES and or flash cart related. The game will be working find then all of a sudden the scroll routine just gives up.Just an FYI, I booted the game on my Unibios 4.0 AES through the Neo SD and unfortunately I'm still getting graphic issues on various stages. Anyone else having these issues on v1.1? Any way (setting?) to resolve it?
To be fair... you could probably say that about most Neo Geo games.Guys it's just shinobi you can play it perfectly somewhere else. What's wrong with you people
Looking foward to your next work, either on Neo Geo or another platformVersion 1.1 out now.

It seems to be working fine on my 5v AES with Unibios 3.3 with the NeoSD Pro.Just an FYI, I booted the game on my Unibios 4.0 AES through the Neo SD and unfortunately I'm still getting graphic issues on various stages. There's a definite possibility that it could be the Neo SD Pro. If you ever go back to it and need someone to test, I'm happy to do so.Yeah I just can't seem to find this one as I cannot recreate the issue. Seems to be AES and or flash cart related. That's good. IIRC, you have an earlier version of the NeoSD before the current batch with issues. I'll keep playing around and see if I can find a settings combo that works for my console. It seems to be working fine on my 5v AES with Unibios 3.3 with the NeoSD Pro.
Mine's a 5v AES 3-4 with Unibios 3.3. What do you have?Interesting. Maybe it's something that will reveal itself with future projects.
IIRC, it's a 9V (Been a while since I opened it). Otherwise, it's an AES with 4.0 Unibios with a July '24 batch Neo SD Pro.Mine's a 5v AES 3-4 with Unibios 3.3. What do you have?
Haha, pretty easy to check. Just look at the PSU you're plugging into it. I hope it's the right one.IIRC, it's a 9V (Been a while since I opened it).

Internally, I remember my console having the LM2576 and coil listed on FirebrandX's page. The power supply is a Neo-POW3 that honestly has not given me any problems so far.Haha, pretty easy to check. Just look at the PSU you're plugging into it. I hope it's the right one.![]()
But there is no Statue of Liberty in the arcade Shadow Dancer. Burning Fight!!, you have a lot of explaining to do.the statue of liberty graphic in the arcade version and the genesis illustrates the transition the industry had between programmer art and professional art, lmbo.
