Neo-Geo.com seems to be runned lately by scammers who are making a lot of honest sellers and buyers shy away from our hobby, the neo scene.
For some reason Shawn and the Mods in this board have not done anything to help the members keep track of the scammers members here. I, for one, always come here to buy neo stuff from the neostore, and I'm planning to get KOF 2002. What troubles me is that Shawn excuse not to make the scammers be known to the whole neo scene is "If I didn't have a personal transaction with the person then there is nothing I can do about it." Wrong. If you can open three new international boards, why can't you have something like the Black Book where known scammers are listed? I'm just about fed up with new cases every day popping up like Kyokugen Star, Chris-77, and Neogeojnr that are allowed to continue their scamming ways, in YOUR site, with absolutely nothing being done to them while they reach a large amount of potential victims.
Mods, I have seen have you give special rankings to people, why not just give a big SCAMMER ranking to those who are known and have admitted to wrongdoing? You did it before to Kyo2000 with his Puppet sig mark, but yet you can't do that to the scammers who are bringing the whole neo community and neo scene down?
Something has to be done, and it seems only the members are the only ones attempting to inform and assist the victims of scamming. It is very sad that the neo community is united only by its members to help each other out, while the people like Shawn or the Mods just sit back and watch the scamming continue without doing NOTHING to stop it or at the very least INFORM the members who the rotten apples (scammers) happen to be.

Any anti-scamming idea will be agreed and seconded by me at least.

The blackbook only contains those, who cheated Shawn, but not other members of these forums.

So what several people want is a general blackbook.

I can sympathize with your frustration if you have been scammed. But Shawn doesn't have a "duty" to protect people from the actions of private individuals. Neo-geo.com is a registered business, and for him to get involved in third party transactions and "label" people as scammers/good traders could impose major legal liability. Its a very, very bad idea.

I can imagine that one would only like to post his own bad seller experiences and hesitate on posting other "scammers" if not only for the legal part of it.
However a dedicated section would not be a bad idea I think. It would have to have a warning nature and not a flame war type of setting.

Something in the trend of the black book,....nice and clean facts without any unneccesary posts of people screaming:hang the scammer!
this is ofcourse rather hard to manage I guess so if this section was not put up it is understandable

If you have a big problem with the scammers here, why not set up your own website and publicize them there? You can put the link in your signature and make sure everyone here knows about them all. Should take care of the problem nicely.
