This is the MVS version I'm talking about. For the moment I can say this: First of all, I made a mistake in my last post. Fuuun Super Tag Battle <Special Edition> was released first (20/09/96) for ¥148,000 while the standard version was released (26/09/96) for ¥98,000, which is of course what we (very few of us at that) find on home cartridge. Same game, same meg count etc. only a different BIOS I guess.

Like I said, I have not seen it myself, since a)I have yet to be to Japan and b)I passed up the chance to start buying Neo·Geo Freak back in mid-'96, which may or may not have had a photo inside later that year. So I can't comment on what the setup looked like, and never though to ask back then. And where did I "confirm" this? In a Japanese book on the history of SNK's arcade & home system fighting games. It's really quite good.

I have that book, it is quite an awesome book if we are talking about the same one. I can flip through it and see what I find about the Kizuna link up... I'll go dig it up, I can get my friend to translate it some time too.

Well then, all I can do is say maybe. Perhaps I'll find the issue. It's all a big complicated mess up here which I won't explain to anyone here, so if I don't produce anything within two~three weeks, someone else will have to step up.
