Samurai Shodown Finishing Moves

I've known that this series has finishing moves (fatalities) for many years, but I'm not familiar with all the details about which games in the series have finishing movies, or which region versions of the games do or do not have finishing moves. I know the North American versions of Neo Geo games had censorship, but I don't know which games were censored or how much, or even for how long.. There's not a lot of accurate information on this topic out there.

I know about the finishers in Samurai Shodown V Special and IV specifically but beyond that I'm clueless.

Can anyone shed some more light on this subject?

If I remember right, IV prompts you to enter a button combo when the other character is near death.
