Your insults are useless.

Not everyone focuses entirely on the gameplay. Some prefer a good mix like myself. Taking away the storyline takes away some purpose to playing the game, don't you think?

Is this message directed at me ?
If so, please quote my (useless) insults, as I missed them myself.

I really don't understand why some people feel the need to bash some games like that...

It's like a few more or less bad points totally nullilfy hundreds of good points about a game.

Sorry to say, but to me it sounds like some people here are frustrated with their lives or something, and need to take it out on some random game, for no valid reason but for the sake of bitching about something.
That comment is mostly directed at you, Abster.

Ok. Exactly how many good points does this thing have besides the new systems and the 4 new characters not based on existing ones?

So SS5, a game that totally sucks and that, according to you, isn't even as good SS4, would magically get WAY better if only the game text was translated in English ?...
Please...

Hey. The story adds a lot to the game imo. SNK translated the whole script with past SS games. Aside from lazyness there's no other reason why they'd cut so much out.

I probably shoulden't make this post because I am responding to obvious trolling... but I have nothing better to do.

I don't think that you fully understand what an insult is. Here we go:

in·sult ( P ) Pronunciation Key (n-slt)
v. in·sult·ed, in·sult·ing, in·sults
v. tr.

1. To treat with gross insensitivity, insolence, or contemptuous rudeness. See Synonyms at offend.
2. To affront or demean: an absurd speech that insulted the intelligence of the audience.

Now I insulted you when I called you an idiot. He made a few sarrcastic comments, but aside from that Stifu was telling the truth.

Now... not that I agree with Stifu, but you just need to drop this and stop trolling. Please.

I'm pissed at SNK's lazyness with SS5. I expected way better with a 7 year break in between games.

You can like the game. It's just that I don't. Simple as that.

No story on non-japanese systems??? That plain sucks!!!
I really don't know what to think about Playmore... They're really lazy or don't care at all about foreign people. Anyway, I don't thank them for this!

I love "Victoly" and strange funny sentances. I just prefer bad english than Kanji. At least, I understand. But cutting off a part of the game to avoid having to translate it, that's too much!!! :very_ang:

Maybe I'll like the game ... I'm not really sure at all at this point. No ref + no fatalities + no english story makes me a little nervous though. Without these things it seems like there might be a void left behind -- hopefully there are new features which fill that.

It's just a little irritating that the things they left out seem like such easy things to implement. But if it plays like the other samshos, then I'm willing to give it a shot.

SS3 and SS4 didn't have Kuroko either... I mean, not in the background during all the fights.
As for fatalities, they were just in SS4, I don't mind them but I've seen people complain about them, saying they're out of place in the SS series etc...

well, I proved to his ass that the storyline stuff was kept in in earlier SS games. SS5 axes it altogether. Stop bitching.

Hi, I'm new sort of new here!

Anyhow...

Someone more in the know please correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the English version of Samurai Showdown 2 have, like, character-specific win quotes and such removed? (All the win quotes are the same for every character instead of being 'personal' for each like in the Japanese version, I think.)

I think there might be more, but I really don't remember.

And wow, I feel really retarded. The last post to this thread was more than a month ago.

I don't remember if each character had specific win quotes in SS2 or not. Each individual character just had that one they used.
