It's (almost) always the case with ports...
Especially recent ones...

I think everyone should clear the backup RAM on their Neo every few months or so... especially if you are like me and insert a lot of different games... Highscores don't get saved for very long in that scenerio... and I am sure the constant loading of data causes quicker memory corruption ;) Not that it is TERRIBLE, still, quirky stuff like this happens.

The game needs to be fully translated, there isn't an excuse not to for the money we pay.

Although it'd be cool to have a full (and good) English translation, it's not that important to me...
It's not like it's an RPG.

If you think they OWE you a full English translation considering the price of the game, then don't buy it.
No one forces you to.

I don't understand why playmore would consider an english version of the game without english text!!??
SS5 is the US name of the game so it means that we will see MVS kits in america. Will they be cutted from the story mode just because they were lazy to do it?

It could be lack of time, or of money... Priorities, or anything.

But anyway, I'd rather have them be too lazy on the English translation than on something else, like graphics or gameplay.

FTL. Doesn't even recognise the existence of Japanese carts. Thinks SNK is an Italian company and Shawn owns it.

Beezlebubble: you think SSV is combo-based? I've played it a lot now, and I don't get that feeling at all. As a matter of fact, I've never played a 2d fighting game in which the designers took so many pains to keep it from being combo-oriented! They got rid of the CD combos, so there's no more chain combo problems (or chain infinites). They even added the sword-power meter. The sword-power meter greatly weakens all combos. If you "wait for the right moment" to do a single attack, you'll probably end up doing more damage in the long run (most of the time). As far as I can see, this system rewards a more realistic fighting pace without forcing the issue. It feels very smooth and natural to me. One could argue that SSV is less combo oriented than SS2, or maybe even SS1!

he asked if it was like 4 or 2... i said like 4 in terms of the true combos you can do..(med slash cancelled into a fireball etc..) i wasnt talking about cd combos etc which i dont really call a combo as such....

semantics?

With all the delays that have been going down on the SNK front, it's hard to believe that priorities are a valid point. (or attempt at one)

If SNKP really had to make another delay, it should be so they add stuff like this and get it right. But hey, you lose some...and you lose some.:annoyed:

I'd be more inclined to think - "what relevance do you have?"

The answer is none, because you obviously don't read through threads, you constantly post the most banal and moronic threads, and your sig is too fucking big. In short you are a moron, so stfu n00b.

Tarma, your intellect makes itself apparent in your writing.

Lawyer?........ I don't think so.

You are a fake lawyer like Dion is a fake SNK representative and makes fake games.... yes, I think that is a bit more appropriate.

Surely your IQ could sustain better English, especially when you are from England.

ok, now to try to prevent this thread from going completely off topic.

i've tried several different ways to get any story with the unibios. if you're in japanese console mode and have the language set as japanese, you get the storyline. if you have the language set to english, no dice. so it's pretty definite that there is no endings or story for anything but japanese language settings. sucks, but we'll just need someone nice enough to translate the whole story for each character for us :loco:

of interesting note is that the bosses are playable in some version, along with at least one secret character

NO text in English mode!?!?!?! What in the hell? Am I the only one that looks at this as a bad thing? Playmore seemed to be really lazy with this one, the funny engrish was always a part of Samsho, and to not even bother-that's unacceptable.

I agree

Their laziness with using more than 60 percent recycled backdrops is one thing, but cutting out text interactivity is another

I know alot of people dont care about little things like that but i do .
