UPDATE: SS4 Manual (fan-made)

Here's the current status of the project:

All Pages done EXCEPT for soft dip settings page.
Page numbers still to be added, then Final proofing, test print, printing layout and Final Test Print.

I need info on two soft dips: HOW TO/DEMO and VIOLENCE/SP. I know what HOW TO does, but DEMO has no effect that I can see. And I would like the description of the VIOLENCE/SP dip, to make sure that my info is correct. I don't need scans, just text is fine.

Thanks, and hopefully it'll be on a server near you shortly (just not gecities, because it is ghay and homosexual)

It looks great.
Did you make statements about creating a FAN FAQ's (show & tell) section for N-G.COM but received no response from the management??
If it was you ,I wish someone would have accepted your offer.

No, that wasn't me ^_^. Thanks for the moral support, though - it helps.
I'll post when the second page is up!

BTW - Does anyone have an original SS4 manual? I'm kinda interesed in comparing mine to the original, and seeing the text from the game system explanation, etc.

like the work - I would print the full one out

When it's done, it'll be high quality PDFs ready for printing.
BTW, second page is done, but no PDF love this time. Enjoy Kazuki and Genjuro!

I have a MINT SS4 manual I purchased for quite a sum so I handle it pretty delicately because It's a strong chance that I will be selling game. This is one of my favorite SS titles with SSIII being 1st and SSVS coming in 3rd.

Hey BB,
Is there any way I can get you to scan the game system explanation pages? (or give me a hi-res digital camera pic?)
I just want to read the text (and maybe use some of it). I can do the graphics myself ^_^.

Thanks,

Awesome!

I'm not in any hurry, so whenever you can is fine. I've still got 13 characters to go, after all...

A little update...

Work continues on the manual...
I've got text and layout with screenshots done on 4 characters, screenshots taken for 4 more (damn you galford, why do you have so many moves!!!), and text + layout done for all the others. I would have more done, except for a sudden bout of LBS (Lazy Bastard Syndrome).

BB, any idea when you can hook me up with those pics?

Looks great, man - very nice work. I'm also a huge fan of SS4, and have been playing it on a semi-consistent basis every since around '96 or so.

Anyway, I'm anxious to see what the finished product will look like - keep us posted!

Progress update:

Here's where I'm at as of this morning (I have to work today, so there won't be any more done until tomorrow):

Characters completely finished - 10
Characters I've taken screenshots for - 3
Characters I've got text and layout done for - 4

Work also continues on the cover (but it's a secret what it's gonna be ^_^)

When I'm done with the characters, I'll post a lo-res screen preview version on my page so everyone can help w/ proofreading and technical accuracy. It's only a day or 2 away, so you'll have something to look forward to!

That's funny... maybe the bandwith was exceeded? I'm having no problems downloading both files at my end. What browser/OS are you using?

I have _absolutely_ no idea what the deal is with that... it sounds like a configuration error on your end (I know quite a few people have downloaded the previews with XP, according to my site stats)... Anyway, let me know your e-mail address and I'll send them to you that way.

STATUS UPDATE:
Cover Done! (But no preview yet)
Working on front matter (Info, TOC, Basic Controls, Etc)
