No I was just hoping you weren't giving up that's all, it's all good kit homie, hope you're well X

I upgraded. Not giving up anything.

I have a Leak Stereo 130 coming in the mail and I went smaller (but classier) on my speakers and got some Dali Menuet in piano black.

I hope all is well for you too.

Is the Onkyo black or silver?

Good question. It's the black one. It was hard to get a hold of silver one when I bought this years ago. It probably would have cost an extra couple hundred but then that would have opened the door to other receivers in that price range and complicated my purchase. I kind of wish I did now. This amp is pretty badass. I'm mainly selling it for aesthetics. Here is what I just bought:

Just looked this thing up, it’s a lot like a modern solid state version of my Mcintosh MA230. What is with the extreme price cut on them right now? You would think everything should be going up with tariffs, not 60 percent discounted!

This is the newer one made in China. You might be looking at the old vintage Leak 30 (not 130). I don't like to fuck with vintage. I get the appeal, but the sound is not my cup of tea. My buddy has an old Fisher tube amp that sounds great, but nothing I would buy/use.

Could you please define "long time"?
The company LEAK was founded in 1934. But they only started making amplifiers, loudspeakers (& other audio electronics) in the 1950's.

Thanks, but I'm not sure that answered my question.

If I told you you wouldn't know what it was without looking it up anyway so 🤷🏽‍♀️
So, you think I wouldn't know any of the brands?
Of course I probably wouldn't know about the individual components without looking them up- but there are so many audio components you can use. It's hard to know the details of all of them, without looking it up.

You have a vinyl record player- I know that. And you would need an amp & speakers, to go with that- and maybe also a pre-amp, & another source.
Are you afraid that I'll criticize your system?

Thanks, but I'm not sure that answered my question.
If a brand goes back to the 50s or 60s, that is considered a "long time" in audio. There isn't much (in terms of hi-fi equipment) that predates the 1950's.
One example of something earlier is the Klipschorn, a well-known horn speaker, that dates back to 1946, and is still in production. But that's still post-World War II. Hi-fi (as a concept) started after the second war, when GIs brought sound equipment home with them.
