He had a good run. He was major influence on me from very young. He had…theories about music that made him quite unique, regarding music as a fundamental aspect of life, a language that doesn’t need to be taught, that everyone understands from birth, and I believe these observations are key to humanity understanding itself someday.

I don’t believe in genius but this guy was as good at what he did as anyone ever was. An absolute talent.

My kid became a big fan of Cosmos in recent years. I’m pretty sure his music will outlive us all.

If someone doesn't do a mashup of Taps and Chariots of Fire at his funeral, I'll be very disappointed.

All time legend. Loved his Heaven & Hell and Albedo albums.

Didn't know he died. Didn't even know he was even alive.

Just went through a collection of piano records from a Berklee piano graduate. He had piano recordings of all types. Everything from Jazz to abstract classical and piano-driven pop. There were about 3-5 Vangelis albums in there.

The Blade Runner soundtrack is still one of my absolute favorites - RIP.
