What really annoys me though, is that you cannot get older issues of the mag. :(
Retro-Retro-Reprints - one day....
Great art(icle) though!

This is being rectified. We're thinking of releasing a CD with the first 30 issues in PDF form.

Neo Geo feature

In issue 34 of Retrogamer, there was a nice feature on the Sega Saturn system. Has there ever been a feature like this written for the Neo Geo system? If so, I would like to know which issue it was.

Not yet, mainly because I've just received quotes about the machine from SNK itself :). Should be in a few months time I would have thought.

i was gonna buy 3 issues but the total came out to like 27 pounds.

I didn't fee like spending 50 USD on 3 magazine issues...

anybody in the US ever bought from their online store?

I normally page thru it at B&N, but can never bring myself to spend the 10 bucks or so that it costs. The price is just to high compared to other domestic mags.
It is a great read though.

I was never able to find it.
None of the bookstores I usually go to had it this time. The time I actually
was going to buy it, they don't have it. Anybody find it at all?

Borders still has issue 34 on the shelves here in Boston.

I'll check in again in the next couple weeks to see if 35 shows up.

34 and 35 are worth it alone for the assembler drama.

36 just dropped thru the letterbox the other day.

EDIT: You may have to go eBay UK or via the on-line ordering
option.

34 does have what appears to be the draft art of that image. I'll post it tonight.

I checked my local B&N and they still have 34, hopefully they'll get 35 soon.

It's good reading man...

Kadowaki was banging on about the Taito F-3 and throwing old KOF to Xbox live out of JP territory...

It was official: the Barnes & Nobles I usually go to for Retro Gamer has discontinued carrying it.

I don't know of anywhere else in Minneapolis/St. Paul, a metropolitan area of around 4 million people, that has it.

I guess I'm SOL.

I'd like to read it but BN.com doesn't have it and I doubt the local store does either :(

It finally showed up at a totally random B&N where I normally never find it.

Retro Gamer needs to do two things, desperately:

(1) Replace their US distributor

(2) Get rid of the tacky quasi-porn in the back pages.

Still, it was nice issue overall, and is now sitting in my company's reception area until the new one (whatever issue we're lucky to get) comes in.

PC magazines have a long tradition of having porn ads in the back. Even CGW had them up until a few years ago.

I have two copies of this magazine, if anyone would like a copy, PM me and I'll send one to you.
