At the time when the game came out, I was only interested in 'more Resident Evil'. I didn't really care if the game was 'good' or not. I just wanted to feel those visceral thrills, explore, manage resources and fight weird and intense monsters.
Code Vernoica gave me that. I look back on it very fondly these days.
I wonder how they're going to handle Alfred and Alexia Ashford in this game, given that the internet is fucking gay about how you aren't allowed to show insane people as cross dressers in media without having to hear it from the modern troon army online.
This is why I WANT Resident Evil 5 to get as faithful a remake as possible. We need to stop paying any attention to the crybabies and allow these companies to unapologetically make the games they want to make.
I also really appreciate Code Veronica because it reaffirmed that it's Chris Redfield who is at the center of this franchise. Always has been. Always will be. Everything starts with him and everything branches out from him.
