Well, I'm really interested in buying radiant silvergun on ST-V, but I wanted some opinions first.

Are these really that hard to find? I've been looking around but haven't had much luck except for the fuckers trying to charge $300+ for it, which leads into my next question...

How much should I be looking to pay? I don't need anything but the cart since I'm really just looking to play the game. Is the price comparable to the saturn version or should my wallet prepare for a real raping?

Should I stick with the saturn version? I've heard it is basically arcade perfect (or is it?), but I'd rather play via supergun so I can use my neo sticks. Are there any advantages to the saturn version that I should know of (extras, lower price, easier to find, etc.)?

Finally, anyone have one available?:D

The Saturn and ST-V are literally identical to each other in terms of hardware (except for the CD-drive and a few other things.) I wouldn't necessarily call it a port... I'd say they're almost exactly the same except there are a few extra levels on the Saturn (me thinks.)

I had a spare ST-V cart for sale some months ago in this forum for 200$ shipped, nobody wanted it, then I dropped to 175$ and it sold.

Really good game, worth the cost. The Saturn version is the same with some extra stuff, but if you prefer arcade format go for the cart.

I have to say... It's worth what your willing to pay for it... I dropped $200 for the board and cart and haven't even given it a second thought... I really love this game. This and Soukyugurentai spend more time in my cab than any other games.

The Saturn version is arcade perfect... I just can't stand playing with a pad.

The saturn version has the anime cut scenes. Not exactly a deal breaker back when the stv cart cost less than $80, but now that the stv cart costs around $200, I'd say get the Saturn version.

I saw a Radiant Silvergun STV cart with mobo sell on Ebay in the last year for over $500 and I believe it also came with the marquee... So be prepared to pay out considerable bucks.

The Saturn version has the original Arcade Mode (same as ST-V) and also a special Saturn Mode (not on the ST-V cart).

Saturn Mode features the following over Arcade Mode:
1. All 6 stages are played: 3-2-4-5-6-1 (in arcade mode, after completing stage 3, the player is asked to select between stage 2 or 4 which then leads to stage 5, meaning only 5 stages are played in total).
2. Stage 5 has an additional sub-boss and final boss.
3. Stage 6 has 3 additional sub-bosses.
4. You can save your weapon-levels.
5. You must earn credits through play (arcade mode simply allows you to plunk in more virtual credits on a whim).

Personally, I don't care for either 4 or 5, but the standardized level layout combined with the extra bosses is a great addition.

The Saturn game also adds the anime intro and ending (when played in Saturn Mode).

Very good info, looks like the saturn version may be the way to go unless I find a nice deal on the STV cart. Anyone selling a copy?
