I checked the official FAQ, but I wanted to confirm this for sure with anyone who owns and uses the HDLoader for PS2. Does it allow you to use import games on a non-region-modded PS2?

If you can get the game onto the HD, it will work, regardless of region.
Typically you'll need to do the PC install, or use someone else's JP PS2 to load the game onto the drive.

I use a memory card exploit to boot an FTP server on the PS2. Then I FTP the import game to the PS2 on my home network. It them plays fine with the HDLoader.

It's a lot more convenient than digging out my Japanese PS2.

You have a link to a site that would explain how to do that?

ps2ownz.com has some info in its forums. But that place is a pain in the ass.
