Question about MAC's

My brother in law wants to buy a new laptop and he wants a Mac so he asked me about it though I know nothing about them. basically he wanted to know if it would be better to get the new Macbook Pro or if he should get one of the PowerBooks.
The plus I can see is with the bootcamp thing I was reading about he would be able to duel boot windows on the Macbook Pro. And advice would be appreciated.

Get the Intel Powermac without a doubt. They're $500 more, but well worth it.

Aside from the XP running ablilty, they're much, much faster.

depends on what he wants to do on it.
if he needs any apps that arent compiled for intel yet (photoshop for example), the G4 powerbook will run it faster.

Im sticking with PPC for at least another 1-2 years before i even think about getting an intel mac.

If he wants a notebook, the Macbook Pro is the best on the market...no question.

Although I heart my iBook.
