I don't get what people see in Halo in general, it just looks so boring...

Well, perhaps if either of you actually played Halo when it was released you might have a better idea why it was considered by many to be the best FPS ever. Yes, even without a keyboard and mouse. ;) At the time, Half-Life was about the only other title that could hold a candle to it.

Whether you like it or not, Halo will go down (or has gone down) in history as one of the best FPS experiences ever created.

I think it's accepted as fact by a huge majority that Halo 2 sucked, at least in 1-player mode, and that includes me. And I enjoyed Halo 1 a lot.

A lot of people didn't like Halo 2's single player because of it's length and premature ending. What was there was great, which I think is the general consensus.

And I think it's accepted as fact by a huge majority that Halo 2 in multiplayer mode was awesome.

And looking at Halo's popularity and the sales numbers for the series, I think it's safe to say that the rest of the world is rejoicing while kernow espouses bitterness. :p

I said the same thing too. I was only a fighting game and Nintendo fan, I hated Xbox, I hated console FPS and the fans as well. One day they forced me to sit down and play.

I was converted. I had never had so much fun in my life. You hook up 2 or 3 Xboxes to a router and get yourself a squad, talk about fun and addiction.

I became hooked and still am. If people would just give things a chance instead of writing things off they'd see that not all games of this day and age are garbage.

Yes. Yes I do.

At this point, Halo 3 has a lot to live up to. If I play it and like it I'll know I have something to look forward to.

Again Kernow lives on Planet Nintendo. Dont mind him.

Me I am looking forward to Halo 3.

Halo 1+2 were awesome. I actually enjoyed the SP Halo 2. I think alot of people just wanted to be the Cheif but I liked getting to the other side of the war.

I don't understand why people play the Single player modes in Halo, there not meant for Single players, there for the online community and Freinds playing

duration != knowledge

Perhaps not, but experience certainly helps. :p

I love how someone who has never played Halo can make such comments about it, let alone consider themselves an FPS expert. lol

Name for me a popular FPS, and I'll bet you that I've played it, along with a few you probably haven't played (or possibly even heard of). While it may not be my favourite genre, and I'm not the most skilled FPS player in the world, I have played them quite a bit. I have also played Halo, which qualifies me to make comments about it as a game.
