PS4 has a much better library, unless you are looking for mainly racing games. Xbox has Forza, and Halo as exclusives, that's pretty much it.

If you want to play next gen games and don't care about forza or halo, get a PS4 and a dedicated blu ray player.

Else, get an xbox one.

If you go xbox one don't make the mistake I did and get the 500GB. I thought It would be cool because I normally buy physical copies. Turns out you have to install every single game. My HDD is pretty much full with 3 Xbox one games on it, 2 xbox 360 games, and a few xbox arcade games.

It takes for fucking EVER to install a game. Even if you do the turn off internet trick. Talking hours here.

I enjoy my xbox one because I do like Halo and Forza, and I can play some of my retail 360 games. Other than that I think it's pretty much shit.

It's the Bro-Man console. Just sports and racing is all you are getting with this thing, and all the sports games are on PS4 anyway.

I never got the "install" bs consoles have. It was one of the reasons I became such a late adopter for PS3. I can sort of understand updates, as long as it's optional, but installs that take hours? Ugh.

Install sizes can be very large so I do recommend getting extra storage if you get a 500gb. I have a 2TB and so far I have about 12-15 games installed (including some heavy hitters like Halo 5, Killer Instinct, Forza 6, Forza Horizon 3 etc.) and still have plenty of space for additional games.

Having said that though, I never had a game take hours to install. What game was that? Was your disc scratched up or something?

If SFV and KOF XIV ever gets ported to Xbox one I'll gladly get it, but I have a feeling that's not going to happen.

well, seeing as how sony helped pay for SFV, and SNK won't develop for a console that has a low install base in japan, it's unlikely to happen.

Got a Bone S.

Can't remember if I posted or not.

EDIT: It came with Battlefield 1 which looks amazing in 4K but sucks as far as games go.

Had some Best Buy credit and ended up paying $100 for the Bone S Battlefield pack and a spare controller.

It has FFXV which is the only game in the PS4/XBONE library that I'm concerned about.

I did forget that FFVII is being remade as a PS4 exclusive and remembered as I was typing this, now I'm pissed.

Honestly, I'll never play either console.

Mia is all over Battlefield tho.

I got like about 40 some games in it already, 2 thirds are 360 games, the rest are xboner games that were free every month. I've only covered 45% of HDD so far, I got the 2TB Geerz Edition.

Dark Souls and Elite Pad is my main reason to own this thing, it plays awesome, gotta get Scholar of the First Sin pronto, waiting for DSIII complete editon...

FFXV...lol.

Edit: Also waiting on HDRemix and 3rdS to be backwards compatible, come on!

it's not an exclusive.. it's "FIRST on playstation". It's more than likely coming to Xbox as well.

I'll stay with PS4/PS4 Pro and not touch Xbox One because:
- no Atlus games
- no Musou games

Xbox One library can't even compare to 360. I don't see most of SHMUPS can be BC on Xbox One......:(

I've been very happy with my PS4 Pro I picked up recently. Getting a chance to play through a bunch of titles I ended up missing out on (FFX/X-2, Uncharted Series etc) and a lot of great indie titles. Honestly with PS+ as well, a lot of the free monthly games are really good hits too. It's been a worthwhile investment

Xbone has Musou games though.

Cave has already pledged full cooperation with MS for making their SHMUP library BC with the xbox one. Guwange is BC as of a few months ago, and is a step in the right direction.

One thing I will say about each owning both, and correct me if I'm wrong: If you want to stream TV, Xbone is a better choice, as it runs apps like FoxNow and CW. Gaystation 4 is pushing Vue, so they don't have access to as many apps.

360 was so obviously the victor in that generation, it Came out a year earlier than the PS3, was less beefy (from a hardware standpoint) and yet, it took the PS3 4+ years to finally out sell it.

Besides, uncharted was the first decent exclusive for it, and that was 2 and a half years into it's life (maybe even 3).

But nooo Sony did it before with better hardware, they can do it again. /s

There are strong rumors emerging that Sony is aiming for a mid 2018 release on the PS5. We will have to wait and see how and if they use this information as a detterent
