So, I know this are kind of old news, but after a quick search and not finding a thread about it...

You guys knew about this? Apparently the only place were you play the darned thing is this particular arcade and nowhere else. To my knowledge, only 3 arcades of that test run remain: one is owned by the creator (and he ain't talking to anyone from what I can read), the other is in Chicago or California depending on who you ask, and this one, in Illinois, the only one available to public.

Emulation is apparently not going very well. The normal, unedited ROM crashes the second you select a character (if you're lucky). Something to do with missing the sound calls. From what I've been able to research, two people are working on it (and for different things), and the guy that wants to get the emulation to actually RUN is stuck.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfvGNv3J7Uk <- reason why the game doesn't work.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-LicitDpLA <- guy trying to make it run. Judging by his comments in the comment section, which are from a week ago, he's quite stuck.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkKG5MIKrg0 <- second guy. From what I can tell, he's focusing on the assets.

Fuck Primal Rage.

Why the fuck did the special moves have to be so goddamned complicated?

So what is it exactly you're trying to accomplish here?

Scott had five sets of boards on Klov of part 2. I think he gave or sold one and they take it to shows to let people play it. I'm not a big fan of the first but I do have a board. It's so crazy big though is the only reason I haven't just sold it off.

Huh... think the Galloping Ghost Arcade guys are a bit out of the loop. I was watching one of their old Primal Rage 2 streams, and mention several times that theirs in the only board in existence (since even the original designer seems to have lost his. Impressive they managed to talk to them, considering the rumor is that they don't want to be involved with Primal Rage at all, have moved on, and refuse to help with the encryption of the original. Then again, maybe the rumor is simply not truth.)

In any case, this makes me wonder what happened to the other boards.

Interesting hint on where it is publicly available, as for the game... it is not as if PR1 was a gem...

From what I've seen, they don't play all that similar. They share the cannon and claymation (and the dinosaur gods from the 1st game do appear), but not a lot of gameplay mechanics.
