Nice! That would be a fun cab for sky shark for sure. Have fun restoring it.
Hopefully you’ll see it in person, before Spring is over. We were *just* about cool w/ having people over again; however, COVID numbers are spiking in our area again.

So sick of dodging this germ.

It's a book.

A reprint in book form of a 40 something page booklet put out back in the day.

You can read it and such at the link.

The book is basically a photo copy of that, custom bound into hardcover form with a dust jacket.
I just wanted it to stick there on the shelf with my other D&D stuff.

Given that American culture is kind of having a Satanic Panic 2.0 moment lately, this grab feels somehow quite timely. I recently discovered that my own local school had any D&D stuff banned back in the day due to fears it would kill kids somehow etc. 60 Minutes used to be THE trusted infotainment show back then. So, when they did that article on D&D, it had many boomer parents terrified of RPGs for a while.

Seeing how harmlessly more popular than ever D&D is now on streaming sites like Twitch feels slightly weird when thinking back on how things used to be.

If it hadn't been for telling us kids we couldn't have it back then, I don't think it would have ever reached the level of popularity it has today.

Nothing like a little righteous indignation.

Don't know if you seen the thread but I posed a bunch of stuff here

That's an interesting thread. It's weird how these panics start and then spread through media until books and movies start coming out about whatever the concern flavor of the moment is.

Garage sale pickups over this past weekend. VHS tapes and a couple porno flicks on Laserdisc.

Latest Pickups. Sorry I didn't take an overview picture. I sold at a Retrogame convention and made like 900 euros. But sadly there wasn't much decent to snap up.
I would have easily spent that 900 :D

Evangelicals in the 80's and 90's were all about making pop-culture their own, so I'm kinda surprised that there wasn't a Christian version of D&D sold at those silly "Family Christian Bookshops" like Berean and what not. At least so far as I'm aware there wasn't. My life was inundated with this garbage, growing up Southern Baptist, so I had all the NES Wisdom Tree games, Christian R&B instead of real R&B, etc.

Neat pick up, though! Thanks for the links. Gonna check them out later today.

Oh definitely! RBFF2 is one of my favourite Neo games, and SS3 has grown on me considerrably over the years :)
About a decade ago something clicked with SS3 with me and a buddy of mine and I've found it hard to play any other SS game since. There's something about the fast pacing, dangerous counter system and defensive options that make this game feel like Bushido Blade meets KOF 98 and I just love it. Enjoy it, man!
