I have a case full of those Lucas arts adventure games around here somewhere.
The point+click game is one of my favourite genres.
If you have boxed Zak McKracken, Maniac Mansion and Loom would you be interested in some trades with MVS carts? 😅 Sorry, I had to ask...

I wish.
Maniac Mansion is easily in my top 5.
Loom... I haven't thought about that game in ages.
I struggled through it but man it was good.

Loom in 16 color EGA might be one of the most beautiful games ever released (again, Mark Ferrari and his dithering magic). 🤝

The first time I ever saw Loom was on the Turbo CD.
I didn't get to fully play it till I "found" a copy and played it on SCUMMVM.

FM Towns seem to be the mostly the same as PC VGA but without voice acting and more of the stuff they cut from the PC VGA one re-added.
VGA version has missing scenes, missing animations and portraits and shorter lines compared to the EGA one.

I just prefer the whole EGA graphics over the VGA one, especially on the first island, some great dithering artwork there.

Here's some guy who has considerably more time available than I do

I had no idea there were Dr. McNinja books. Now I need them.
Hastings published independently for a while.
I have no idea how many books he did like that.
Dark Horse later picked up the license.
They published three trades and a single Omnibus.
They have all been out of print for some time now so eBay is usually the best place to look.
I just need the Omni now but it's the most expensive one of course.

Yay another kusoge fighter to add to my collection. Cool to see Megumi Hayashibara voices a character in there. Voice of Lina Inverse from slayers, Rei Ayanami, Faye Valenetine and more.

Also sings this opening

She also does the voice of Lime in Saber Marionette in the series and PS1 fighting game if you’re interested and didn’t know

If you've got big hands, you can hold the bean like a Genesis controller. The stick has a concave top on it, so your thumb goes right in there. That's my preferred way of playing the top down racing games.
