the artist who made the original character design is legit and Pop Mart is a big step up from FuKno toys in terms of design. It’s very strange to me that these have become a craze, a full quarter century after designer toys took off.

The lore is some lip singer big name k-pop goobergirl started showing them off and it took off from there. I doubt most people lining up to buy them will actually appreciate the design. Just another flip in this hustle culture.

That said the design is great like you said but how they release them is absolutely horrible. Its just gambling. The things are not rare and artificially so for the ones that are "the secret one". Imagine if I wanted that coca cola can one. I would have to open on average 72 of them. That means I would have a million of the coca cola can and bottle ones if im lucky. At $30-40 bucks a pop no way fag. To me they look like the monster from where the wilds things are started aestheticsmaxing and got plastic surgery

In any case who knows if they will stand the test of time. I think they are a great design but even still I think they will be forgotten in ten years. How many different colors and slight variations in outfits can they do before it gets old?

That's the way it's always worked, but blindboxes from Kidrobot, Toy2R, Medicom, etc. were like $10.

True. Blind boxes, mystery boxes, all the same. I think these are the new Stanley cups once the hype dies down. In the world of 2025+1 of our lord and savior it is hilarious we are still at Y2k era levels for combating scalping and bots. Shit is not hard to combat with limits and auto bot detection.

In any case its always a treat to see all these sneakerfaggers ruin another market. Some of these flips don't even make sense when you factor the time.

All right, I picked this one up recently. Wasn't gonna post it, because it's only RB1, but we've got to cleanse the palate from all these fuzzy dolls and magic cards. I'm an RBS man first and foremost, but this one is fun too, and it's been creeping up in price lately, so when I came across a goob deal, I figured why the heck not.

Got KoF 99 and my Neo geo home console back from the one and only legend @BIG BEAR himself, who fixed the controller port and dropped in a unibios for me. Thank you sir! This console has literally been broken since the day I got it in 2007 Special thanks to @Neodogg for suggesting I contact BB as well


Busted out the old CRT I bought back in 2002 or 2003 and played some Neo on an actual console in I don’t know how long.


Also finally got a chance to use the sticks @Dr. Meat made for me awhile back Everything about them feels great…they look beautiful too. Highly recommended if you are looking for some custom sticks.


Feels good to play on a home console again. Well on my way to rebuilding my old Neo collection. Don’t think I’ll get all the old games I used to have, but I’m about 65% of the way there already.


And yes, the CRT is on the floor and yes it is filthy for having been in the basement for years and no it is not going to stay there. Its gonna go right back into the basement as soon as a I get something to play my Neo on a modern tv.

What was wrong with the AES, just curious.
Try to keep the CRT if you can. The image quality is so much better. Nothing beats that warm radioactive glow and the static tingling feeling when you rub the screen after you have turned it on.
