I can absolutely be an elitist prick when it comes to best versions of games and condition, but to pass over mint copies in favor of sealed for suboptimal versions of games is just indefensible from a logic standpoint. Of course, it's his money, and I think there is an applicable cliché.

In fairness, he's better than the assholes who have their games graded. At least he's using them for their intended purpose.

Not been keeping up with events, have you?

We are dealing with the forum's biggest retard for at least a decade here. Logic doesn't come into it.

Any of it.

Ever.

When it comes to CD games, the chances of finding a truly mint used copy is extremely small. You're not there to inspect them yourselves. Even if it's an honest seller, many don't know how to diligently check for the most minor of scratches. How many copies are you going to buy and return before you've wasted so much time you should have just bought a new copy?

I know it's not normal to care as much as I do about condition, but if my standards are so high that buying used is ultimately a waste of time, why waste the time? It's not like I've never bought used before. It's that when it comes to CD games, I've regretted it every time I've done it. Learned my lesson long ago.

Look pal, I have curated my Sega Cd and Saturn collections for the past 20 YEARS. I used to buy sealed games and used lots on ebay. I separated out the mint copies and then extracted from those copies only the minty-est of the minty. What remains is only the purest quality, untainted and unblemished.

Well... not being one to be outdone by the village idiot, I decided to splurge $2,500 on eBay for a sealed copy of Ironclad.

As many of you will know, CD's make great coasters, and my last coaster got chewed up by one of my cat's. So, wanting something more cat friendly, I was going to just use my mint, as new, copy of Ironclad. After all, I hardly ever play the game, and I wanted to remind myself of what a big tyme baller I am every time I have a hot beverage.

After cracking open the game and throwing the OBI and survey card in the bin, I have to say that my beverage does not taste any different from using a used CD. Indeed, the only advantage I can see at the moment is that the shiny reflective surface looks good with the mirror image of my mugs/cups.

I can also confirm that the new copy of Ironclad did not play any better than the used copy I already had.

Overall, I am very disappointed, but at least I have a coaster my cat's cannot chew up.

What did your neighbor think about your new coaster? Did he like it more when you told him it was NOS?

Well, I think there was some initial excitement, but after we'd finished our circle jerk everyone was too hot and sticky to really care.

Still, my good buddy at the local game store has offered me $40 and a hand-job for my spare copy of Ironclad. Usually he'd only offer a hand job, so I think it's a pretty sweet deal, plus he's got a sealed copy of Batman Forever on Saturn for $950, so I've only gotta give him $910 and let him peg me and I've got another sweet coaster for my collection.

I had Akai Katana for lol360 back when.
Don't know what happened to it.
I do plan to play all of these, they literally just arrived in the post
