_Kefka_ said:Large format printer are not _absolutely_ needed... My inkjet printer is an usual Canon BJC 4300 that do only A4, I use one A4 page for the front, one A4 for the back, and I print 4 of the center side on another A4... it is invisible as it will be under the corner of the shock box...

but it is hard to choose one and leave the others one

I am wondering, what do you do when you have 2 (or more) insert of one game, and you can't decide which to put on your shock box ?
Your Samurai Shodown 2 is very good, and I will perhaps print it, although I have got already another (good) insert printed ... Too hard to choose !!![]()
The "worst" thing is that NeoCverA have made also a very good looking insert for this game !!!
3 inserts for 1 game/shockbox![]()
Wonderfull to have such a choicebut it is hard to choose one and leave the others one

pixeljunkie said:What kind of printer? Do you print them as one piece?
praedicator said:I use a Canon S9000 and have been trying out various stocks of A3 paper (still haven't found one that I really like though...). Any 4-color inkjet should be able to produce decent quality, 6-color inkjets will give nicer blues, and anything above 6-color is aimed at photorealism not graphic design.
A3 paper is a nice size because it's large enough to print out a full sized insert, and there is usually an abundance of paper stocks to choose from since it's a common size.
Recently I've been using matte paper instead of glossy, which provides smoother tones and is dramatically more smudge resistant. It still can't beat the dark black point and vibrant color of glossy, but it's something to mix things up with.
I've found red river papers to be my favorite. www.redrivercatalog.com.
