Whtas up everyone,

I was just blasting some solo 3rd strike, and pulled off one of my best Hugo performances to date. I rushed up 2 flights of stairs to grab my camera during the credit roll in order to capture the goodness. Oh yeah thats the first SS grade I have ever recieved, and the first overall S that I've recieved. I'm playing on default arcade settings, of course on CPS3 (Jap NoCD Ver. A)

Oh yeah your ill score doesn't count unless its on CPS3 hardware

Uhm I dunno what MGL is, I'm assuming its a tournament.

Does an Astro w/ Jap 3rd strike in the basement top that?

Its golfland for norcal 3s heads, we get the best players in the bay to come and play and we have weeklies on a head to head 3s cabinet, so yeah astros are nice, but h2h anyway bill, sorry :)

Astro with cps3 is my dream, if you suddenly feel the need to sell your coolest asset, I would pay through the roof.

Later man

I committed the idiocy of selling my JP Third Strike Kit. Now, I'm in the
hunt for another one. If the Hardware wasn't so shit....I still have
my Capcom Impress though. I was and still are a Ken/Akuma/Q whore.
I can beat Gill without any cheating strategies too.

@thchardcore: Hit up Matsu dude. He just got some New Astro Cities in stock a few days ago. Since you're in the bay area, you can probably arrange for local pickup. Also, I can source both Japanese and Asian 3rd Strike sets (unfortunately loose only, not kits). I mean its a hefty chunk of change to drop (probably $1000+ for astro + cps3), but worth every penny. Oh yeah, and I have way cooler assets than my 3rd strike ;)

@SNKJorge: That sucks about selling the 3rd strike kit dude :( Did you at least hang on to the art, or did you dump everything? I'm 2 move strips, and 2 pop marquees away from a boxed full set myself. Got pics of your Impress? Impress, Egret 2 and Sega Astros are my 3 favorite candies. My main cats in 3rd Strike are Hugo, Dudley, Gouki and Ibuki. On ocassion, I'll rock some Ibuki, Alex and Q, but I can't get ill scores or nearly as many wins with those 3. Oh yeah I tool on Gill every time. I don't use cheap tactics either.

To the left...
I will hunt on Yahoo! Japan for another full Third Strike kit. I probably will have
to pay more than last time though. I only paid $350 plus shipping. For the time
being I will look for a loose third strike set.

So all the third strike players are in Milpitas huh? I never knew that. The 3rd Strike cabinet in Sunnyvale is usually the least played street fighter out of all the SF games. Infact, I think the only person I've ever seen play it is myself IIRC. At least the last time I went there a few years ago. Is CVS2 still big?

Nice cabs Jorge. Whats to the right of Ketsui in the old astro? It looks like another candy, but I can't tell.

Thats freakin nutty about a $350 3rd strike full kit :tickled: I paid like $360 for my loose set. I've been slowly but surely acquiring all of the print material and boxes for it. I've got a software kit box, just need the hardware kit box and some move strips and pop marquees now.

BTW, holla at me if you sell the impress ;)

I just realized that h2h = Head to Head.

I've got that setup too man ;)

I have twin astros, and when I'm in the mood, and have enough players, I un-tate the vert cab, and use my Sanwa cabinet link loom. The cable set splits jamma harness of 1 PCB over 2 cabinets, and maps player 1 and player 2 controls accordingly. I actually had to get all of the parts to build a 10foot CPS2 kick harness (header, pins and crimp tool). It was a bitch, but better than paying Vihn's ass over $100 for his "official" cab link cables.

I'll snap a pic next time I have the pseudo VS City setup running. As of current I have only 1x 1player panel, I need a second just for fake VSCity 3rd strike eheheh. Front and center rocks.

I guess what you saw next to the Astro (Right), it's the reflection of a glass
door that used to be there. I don't have the Astro no more, I'm leaning
towards Egret 2, or a new Astro.

Nice score, Bill...

The Jap CPU Ai is crap though... ive noticed this across the board for a lot of games. They always tone it down from the US and Asian boards. Best example would be SSF2X. That US CPU AI is BS :very_ang:

If i ever play vs comp (which is not very often), i always play on hardest. Ive noticed that the Jap CPU on full is about the same as the USA and Asian CPU's on about 4-5.
