That's disgusting. Not the poison gas whatever faggot thing, but just the fact that people are playing that shit in the Holocaust Museum. Have some fucking respect. Are there people playing it at Auschwitz, too? Or the Arlington National Cemetery? Maybe the tomb of the unknown soldier is a Pokestop. This is why I don't like this game. People get wrapped up in playing it and manners go out the window. I get stuck behind people playing it walking on the sidewalk, in front of me in line, etc. Like teenagers and millenials needed another reason to walk around glued to their phone. Hopefully this game throws some chlorine in the gene pool when they start getting run over by buses.

So is anyone else having a problem with this game consistently losing sync with their server? It doesn't take long, sometimes less than a minute, and you'll think the game is still working as you walk and the map goes, but if you try and zoom or tap to do anything and it does nothing and never recovers so you have to reset the stupid game. I've lost so far today a Staryu and a Bulbasaur over this crap along with a few hot spots I was moving by while at a red light in my car.

I wonder if Japan is having these problems. Its understandable to assume people have the common sense to not just walk around with their phone in the face; Americans just lack the maturity or common sense to be trusted with Augmented Reality. Sometimes I think cell phones should be outright banned, seems like nothing stops idiots from responding to email while driving; talking loudly in a public place because they have that bluetooth headset; and now this... clogging up all the sidewalks, highways and parks hunting pokemon.

I'm not sure. I was just reading up on how business are using the game to drive sales, and I was kind of wondering that myself. Could someone buy a gym or a PokeStop in game to get people to come and hang out in their shop, or is it all random?

Looks like most of this is built off the first rev of this game, Ingress, also done by the same company... I think a lot of the stops are the same, and usually revolve around some sort of cultural or just neighborhood thing. But then, I'll be on the west side and there's like the historic Panda Express or Danny's Taco Truck, so, yeah, I'm guessing those were placed there somehow.

That article above doesn't say, but I have a feeling there is some way to nudge a gym/stop into a business with a little green persuasion.

Latest update for Pokémon Go adds Intel Processor support, after a petition got more than 45k signatures to add it, since originally Pokémon Go wouldn't work on Intel based phones and tablets such as the ZenFone 2 (which is what I use), specifically mentioned by Niantic. Tried it out today now that it works, seems interesting and I might mess a bit with it. Didn't grow up with Pokémon since my parents, both religious and moderate, where led to believe the names of Pokémon were based on Japanese gods, so they didn't let us watch the TV series. Of course it was bullshit and they admit that now that they know that. But due to that I never really played Pokémon and know only a little bit about it. Perhaps this makes me more interested in the franchise.
