Awwww yeah.

C'mon Sega, PLEASE have a decent story to this title. A prequel to PSI could be utterly amazing.

Shit, what I wouldn't do for a rebalanced, FFIV-style remake of PSII.

:vik:

I loved playing PSO on the DC and Gamecube. But I'm just burnt out on it these days. I couldn't even finish PSU. I figure I'll pick up the PSP one because it seems to be a bit better suited as a portable game anymore. I'm getting a bit tired of the online PS games. I want Phantasy Star V already. Either that, or pimped remakes of I-IV. I would even be happy with them releasing the PS2 updates of I, II, and IV outside of Japan. I just want my classic style Phantasy Star back. Phantasy Star IV was one of my first RPGs and to this day remains in my top three RPGs of all time.

Another high-profile RPG for the DS? Wow...what with Chrono Trigger, FF remakes, DQ titles etc.

I seriously don't have the time to play all the A+ titles coming out for the DS these days.

Well, let's hope this one is up there with the FF remakes.

Bah, you beat me to it, Loopz.

And here I thought there'd be little else I'd put into my DS after FFIV.

I was wrong. I've been waiting for a PSO for DS since the system's release.

Here's a better scan.

I knew they would make this.

I hope PSO is unlockable - I'd love to run through that again.

Wheres Derek?

Website has gone live with cleaner pictures. Things to note:

Two new character choices:
HUnewm (Male Newman Hunter)
HUmarl (Female Human Hunter)

If you look at the pictures, it's clear that MAGs are back in action.

The game is said to feature a single player story mode as well as multiplayer through WiFi and Local (up to four players). It is set to release this winter in Japan.

Oh, and here is the website: http://phantasystar.sega.jp/pszero/

Sega may end up redeeming themselves for PSU.

(I don't care if you liked PSU I thought it was terrible.)

I tried soo hard to get into PSU but really couldnt after WoW :(
BTW i dont know if sega have removed it yet but if you had a playsega account and had pay'd a sub for any of the PS games you can play the new Addon to PSU for free. Meaning if you find a copy from *cough* other sources then its free to play online, although i dont know if sega have noticed the hole yet...

It was terrible. Total garbage. I loves PSO, and was super excited about Universe. What a sad joke that was.

I also wanted them to release the remade versions of PS I-IV here in the US. Hopefully this new one ties in with the Alis saga.

One can wish right?

PS I-IV on PS Collection have English.

Agreed on PSU. This equally looks like a turd, but I might give it a fair chance. Although WTF w/ putting it on the DS?

Yeah, but they aren't the Generations updates. I was hoping to get those in English, but given the lack of love for PSIII they didn't have plans to do a Generations version, then when they decided to do PS Collection on PS2 they cancelled the PSIV Generations.

They're pretty lame, ya know? I think they cancelled the PSIV Generations version long before they decided to do the collection. Well, it was about the time they axed the whole "old->new" look for the franchise. Personally, I'm glad they did. Just about all of them were lame.

Yeah, they have a PSP Phantasy Star Universe game. I think it's based off the expansion they did. It seemed to do well in Japan. I might check it out if it comes here, but I wasn't a big PSU fan. It just proved really tough for me to get into and enjoy.

Anyway, bump for video.
