Hi. I hope whichever cyber people view this have had a good Christmas and also have a good New Year.
Anyway I have some things regarding some serial numbers that I'm not too sure about. I think I know but thought I'd throw it by here and see if anyone wouldn't mind helping me out.
Ok what I'm basically trying to do is trace some serial numbers on a Duo, a duo box and some duo instructions I have. I think the numbers from the Duo, the duo box and the duo instructions have their own individual serial numbers that are unique to them in comparison to other identical items. I think this is because each Duo had its own unique serial number and this matched to its original box and instructions that it came with and was packed with when new.
With time some or even a lot of the consoles have inevitably become separated from their box and instructions as is the case with my Duo. I think the serial number here is under on the bottom of the console on a small white sticker in a kind of surround that is under another larger kind of surround that has print on it - the console name and some other Japanese writing. (I'll post a picture asap maybe tomorrow when I have some better natural light).
However I think I may have a box and instructions with matching serial numbers.
With the box I think the serial number that was supposed to match the one on the Duo is located on the side of the box on a small piece of stuck on lower quality typing type paper or older printing / type writer paper also with the letters and numbers 'PI-TG8'. Not sure what that means, I think it says this also on the front of the box at the bottom right corner under the HE System logo. (I'll post a picture asap maybe tomorrow when I have some better natural light).
Finally with the instructions I think the serial number that was supposed to match the one on the Duo is located on the back cover towards the bottom near the centre and again on a sticker of similar shape and size to the one that was on the bottom of the Duo console. Again the PI-TG8 is there as well. Sorry about going on about that, I have seen one other but again I don't know what they mean. (I'll post a picture asap maybe tomorrow when I have some better natural light).
If I'm right with all the locations of the serial numbers that are supposed to match is it better for the box and instruction ones to match? I know it would be better to have the console one to match as well but I don't think I have the matching one.
It's just that I have another Duo manual / instructions that I think has a different serial number to the box and other instructions / manual above.
With one of the instruction manuals there's also some other document slips that don't have any serial numbers or can match any instuctions I think. (I'll post a picture asap maybe tomorrow when I have some better natural light).
Sorry about this long message for such a reasonably simple matter but it's harder via written word and I'm not 100% on some of it. Also I'm aware that some of the pictures aren't great but hopefully good enough for this with some other things considered.
I think it's better for serials to match but I'm not sure if it could increase the price of anything. I guess if they match the console that could possibly enable it to be worth more but I don't have that anyway.
Anything would be greatly appreciated if you've got this far without being a bit more tired, annoyed, pissed off etc.
