I'm planning to paint this Astro City Bezel, as you can see in these pics it has tiny scuffs all over it, I already got some car paint but since I have never worked on fiberglass before I decided to look for advice first,

I haven't done anything to it yet... I was thinking about sanding it over but I don't know if I need to remove the old paint completely or just sand it a bit to get a rough surface and then apply the black paint, or primer, any advice??
