Overwatch: holy shit

Okay, anyone that knows me from here knows I love fighting games. Always have. But I've gotten pretty tired of them as of late. So lately I've been playing lots of first person shooters, and having a good time. So, just for grins I bought Overwatch just because the reviews were so positive.

Holy shit.

If this isn't perfect for me, I don't know what is. It has the selection of unique characters like that of a Guilty Gear style game, the team work of a great fps, and one that you focus on the goal and not stupid k/d ratios. Don't get me started how many times I've played battlefield and watched morons just go for kills and never ever go for the objective.

This game is amazing. And made by Blizzard, of all people. I wish I had bought this sooner. Anyone else here play this awesome game??

I totally get that, but I think that's because the characters are all so awesome and unique. Plus they all play very differently from one another. Almost as if each one is from their own game. Mark me impressed as hell.

Multiplayer only. It's really, really good at what it does, though. Probably the only multiplayer-only game I can think of that feels 100% worth the asking price.

Overwatch is one of the rare multiplayer games where the douchenozzles, autists and insecure teenagers who generally play multiplayer games don't ruin the experience. Plus the characters have all of the standard Blizzard charm.

Plus there's a bizarre amount of rule 34 porn. So it's got that going for it.

I was hooked on Overwatched but ever since Titanfall 2 came out I really have not gone back to playing it, I need to fire it up again tho, its a fantastic game.

Addicted as fuck to this game. My #1 right now. The game has depth and the teamplay aspect is fantastic! It also relies on skill and not RNG bullshit that is plaguing other Blizzard games.

I'm currently climbing the comp ladder consistently with Soldier as my main (41% accuracy, 59% winrate), Ana as my secondary. If you can keep your cool and not tilt or be triggered by trolls you'll climb and do well. Otherwise enjoy ELO hell.

I saw a mate play the game and I had no idea what was going on. Too flashy and cartoony, reminds me of team fortress and I didn't really like that game.

My kids love it. Blizzard did a good job with the characters. I think its hard to play alone, without some real team mates or friends...
Personally i prefer Titanfall 2, my go to videogame atm.

It's a good game. I'm not typically one for class-based FPS games. I play on PC and have a couple of friends who play. Not up to Comp lvl yet, but slowly getting there. If there are other PC players we can start sharing handles.

I play it a lot on the PC. What system do you use?

The game is great but when Comp came out it kind of ruined it for me as it's incredibly hard to rank up until you get high enough. I literally rank then de-rank rank then de-rank with a perfect 50/50 ratio. This is primarily because I group with random people each time and in that game your entire team needs to be as one to consistently win. I assume once you somehow manage to climb high enough in ranking though your random teammates will more consistently use their mics, pic characters that flow together and stay on the payload.
