There are complaints about the ship design on the Youtube trailer so out of curiosity I swapped in some different ships to see if it makes a difference in how the game looks.

Screenshots are ships from modern "homebrew" games for the Genesis.

Yea, after watching the demo video for this I watched videos for Earthion, ZPF and even Metal Fury Irena and they all blow this away even with the color limits of the Genesis.

Guess some of you guys will need to get used to not every future Neo Geo game is made by Dai Senpai Itsufumisake Kamushikakasaki San, since around 99% of the Neo Geo homebrew scene is and has been mostly european.

But then, since nobody is forced to buy or even like anything, we can all be fine. <3

Thousands of japanese games feature the japanese title and characters on the cover and a "westernized" version of the same title in smaller size either on the cover or the side. Featuring one or the other doesn't necessarily mean you're trying to pass as anything :P

Even for Amiga it looks subpar, not even Neo-Geo launch title quality. Generic horizontal shooters are super boring too. Pass.

Already got former as a beautiful boxed edition for Amiga CD32 so a new game would be most welcome.
Especially at a 100€ price point, thanks to those new AES+ carts.

Looks incredibly underwhelming, as nice as new games are I would be even better if they were good games.
