I'd like to secure this game before NCI gets their hands on it.

A very large cash offer is being offered - you can either buy it and make some money on the side, or by whatever means you deem necessary - you get the entire sum.

If you are seriously interested in trying to obtain this game and send it stateside, let me know by sending an email.

I'd prefer the legal route. Whatever NCI is offering, I'll beat it by $5000 USD.

for info on the items location refer here.

Do you guys really want Laurent Klein getting this title after he ripped off so many people?

He claims to have a copy, yet provides no proof. I think he's trying to secure this copy, hence "Warlocks of the Fates has been found!"

I had a long discussion with the guy at mandarake and I suspect mandarake to be involved with NCI,Laurent Klein and his friends.
I saw there two brikinger AES,the ones with serials,I explain it was unlicensed but they kept saying Saurus endorsed the product.I asked them where they get this silly idea and they told me they saw a letter from a french company stating it.
I just simply dont buy this story.

The French company is Neoayato the maker of the "limited edition bootleg Ironclad AES".

I've been a gamer for a long time, but I had to become a neo gamer to see something like this.

I hate the idea of people passing off bootlegs as originals too, but do the ends justify the means (the theft option)?

In what way would you secure the game TonK?
NCI is going to release it, so at least 100/200 Neo fans are going to be able to buy it and someone will possibly/surely dump it (as happened with B2B and maybe with TotC).

You have to understand the key element with this entire thing.
The biggest problem that we have here is that nobody knows for 100% certain whether or not N.C.I. has or has not "secured" the game already! We have to therefore at least consider the possibility that the original game in that display case is indeed the only known copy of the game data. So given that, how "secure" is this game? We are assuming that in 3 months time the store will give the game back to N.C.I. and at that time they begin the process of having the eproms read and the data dumped which eventually leads to them making a production run, just like Bang Busters, from which we are able to purchase and obtain the game. But this is all an assumption! Are you going to assume that the game will "survive" 3 months there?

Anyone ever seen the movie "National Treasure"?
So to answer your question, YES, the end DOES justify the means.

What kind of an incompetent fool leaves something that valuable just sitting in some unprotected glass case?
Regardless of what does or does not come from this, if you think that item will survive there, your insane!
Because if you think we are crazy, then you have no clue about the real world.
Rule Number 2: "Don't underestimate the other guys greed"

The most probable scenario is that NCI has already dumped the game and it's just on display in Nakano for some months to increase japanese collectors' interest in the future AES release

On the main forum page the title to this thread is truncated to: "Open Offer for any Japanese..." I'm glad we're not putting bounties on the capture (you were just planning to capture them, right?) of citizens of Nippon.

By any means necessary!

Exactly, they are just building up hype.

If Laurent did have the game, I'm sure we would have seen videos.

Offer stands.

He doesn't have the game.

I'm working to pull it out from under his ass.

He has stolen from so many people, yet members will buy the shit regardless. The same members who bad mouth NGF.

Complete Disorganization

What ever happened to the supposed pics he said they were gonna post on twitter or whatever?

That was over a month ago that they posted that on twitter. Other then a dumb ass sucker punch aimed at TonK about Aero Fighters 3, these guys have not posted anything in over a month on Facebook or Twitter. Their website also remains un-updated. In addition, repeated requests for pics have yet to bear fruit.

The truth is, one is left to wonder just what exact (if any?) control did or does N.C.I. have over this item?

And at the most basic level, if they have not provided pics and such just because they are lazy or unwilling to do so, that is one thing, they have every right to that. However, if it is actually because they forgot or failed to take pictures before they handed the game over, then they are simply a bunch of disorganized dumb asses. Who the hell would do that? Only a stupid moron.

So I think what were getting at here is that nobody really knows for sure if the game has been "officially" sold to N.C.I. and if it is indeed their property. Something that is "promised" or "on hold" or "pawned" at a store is NOT the same thing as something that you physically own and have in your hands. So that being the case, who says we cannot make an offer for the item just like N.C.I. did?

You figure it out - didn't you call me an "egomaniac"?

Maybe I'll keep it for myself and never release it, just like an ego maniac would, right?

Exactly.

Truth be told, Billy and I are going after the game.

We have reached out to the Japanese-based members for assistance - make an offer or whatever.

I'll try to call them later, hopefully we can get it - but I'd prefer a member to go and test the game, negotiate, get compensated and ship the game to us.
