UPDATE - still no price.

Almost all of them are missing the power cord.

The condition is fair - some are a tad better than the others.

I'm gonna try to use that single power cord I found to test them all.

Once I get a price, I'll let you know.

Bottom line - if you're not good with arcade stuff, I'd avoid them.

They look complicated inside - some have a huge stack of cards in them.

Took another pic for size comparison.

A peculiar size. Too short to stand and play, but the CP doesn't extend out far enough so you can't sit and play either. I'm too far, but i'd be interested otherwise just as a novelty.

It'll work just like a minicute or a mini neo, they have the same sort of configuration and like the neo minis, they can't tate. The sole reason the minicute is a more versatile cab but in truth all the mini cabs are just novelties but there are those instances where some folks don't have the space. I'm giving my GF my mini neo 19 'cause she really loves playing Neo and I can play some when I come and visit her, she'd never want anything bigger than that. This cabs have tremendous potential, did you see the pic of the DC setup?

i read this as "dinkins cabs thread" so much weird poopling/naked jedi/ high fat white guy went through my head just now.
only idiot info i can give, and am too lazy to research and verify, is that from what someone else told me, those cards in the machine.... basically the actual hardware is some major money sink for arcade ops as well as kids who played it. the cards cant be wiped and re-used or something?
the angle i am playing is pretend you are actually going to use them as dino king cabs. dont let on that you plan to convert them, or if thats too late i dunno. tell them "what fucking adult wants to sit on their knees to reach the control panels on these stupid things?" lol.

He's not gonna be able to move those for shit, I'd say 200 a pop, no more if the interest leans towards a conversion. The potential is there for a nice project, I wish I could get one here for that much and make something cool out of it. Like Wautaru said, perfect little kids cab.

I'll take one if the price is right...Also would be good to know the monitor resolution for sure.

It seems they have the original hardware in there so I'd guess that the monitors would be 15khz as well. It would be nice to get a confirmation that the original monitors are in there at least, or if they work. Nice little cabs when they've been converted but you don't want to pay through the nose for it.

size reference, thanks Paulie:

I think the panel sticks out far enough. I often sit with my stool a ways back and barely have my legs under then panel. One thing to consider though is that the panel is higher than a standard candy. Definitely has potential.

So $200 per is good? I don't know enough to guarantee them - I'll see what he says. I will put them in my storage unit.

If anyone who is technical with this stuff wants to come down and check them out beforehand, I'm all for it.

150 to 200, yes. Points of haggling:

- tiny cabinet
- non standard controls
- complicated maintenance
- reliance on point cards that will eventually be impossible to find

I'd love to pick one of these up to convert it to a Dreamcast cab a la http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showt...-Cabs-Thread&p=3896313&viewfull=1#post3896313. Assuming it has working components (monitor, speakers, etc.), do you think I'd be able to do the work with basic (fairly limited) arcade knowledge/skills? Again, I'm just looking to take out all that card crap and start from scratch with a Jammafied DC and a new control panel.

IF these are the right price
IF I can convince my wife that these would be a good pickup for the kids

As stated before, they will become H2H cabinets with BAM or another Kids game in it. They may even host a JAMMA SNES or two.

I think $200 is the price on 1. If you're clearing out all 6 for him - that obviously saves him a ton of work - there aren't a ton of people going to be lining up for these; especially w/o power cords to show them working.

I'd say offer him $150 for 1 or $700 for all 6. Be willing to bump to $900 for all, but I wouldn't go more than that. He has to sell locally. No one is going to pay to ship one of those on top of a pricetag more than $200 - I think if you put it that way to him, he'll jump at your offer. Keep us posted...

hey all, AO has a page on their wiki for this cab, with manuals:

http://wiki.arcadeotaku.com/w/Sega_Mushi_King

looks like they're JVS (a proprietary wiring) and the monitors are 14 inch 15 kHz (Sanwa 14VC21S). The board supports 31KHz monitors as well, which means that the monitors in these could be dual sync.

I'd say offer him $150 for 1 or $700 for all 6. Be willing to bump to $900 for all, but I wouldn't go more than that. He has to sell locally. Agreed. Shipping on two is going to bump the price up for me, so a lower cab cost, the better.

Really hoping this works out for you Tonk. I'm getting more and more interested in purchasing more than one from you to turn into dedicated mini-Skycuser cabs. I love the style on these cabs!

Text him a bit ago, waiting for a response.

I don't know how some of you do this for a living - it's just stress for me haha.

those cabs look kinda cheaply made and awkward to modify
I wouldn't offer more than $120-$150 each for the lot
take it or leave it type deal

They're quite solidly built to be honest, a mostly metal cab. Not too much to convert. Make up a Jamma harness (or buy a cheap Chinese one if you don't mind that sort of thing), modify the control panel, change the art - done. The panel is the hardest thing to do. Obviously, the cheaper the better, though.

That would be sick for show events, 2 of these with matching arts and maybe even some decals on the sides, man! That would bring a crowd and they're small enough to carry easy with a hand truck to a show like that. Hope you get them! Maybe even link them with one player setups...oh, too bad ass! Post pics when you have them done!

That's an cool line up. My mini Neo 19 is different but about same size, I have that same thing about playing the cabs, my knees are barely underneath the CP. I love the hood on those, mine is the next wave, nice 'cause is got the better button layout but I like the metal CP surround as opposed to the plastic one in mine. Same thing with the hood on the older ones, I find it much cooler but hey I'm not complaining, the one I got is nice enough.
