If it has the same anti-reflective shit the S95H has, it's very effective. I mentioned it in a prior post, but we've had the 95 in our kid's game room (a ton of ambient light from a wall that's all windows) for going on a month now. And although I've
never been a Samsung panel fan, it's better than expected... especially relating to it's anti-reflective matte finish screen.
If you or your dad do prefer OLED, the balancing act of performing well in a super dark room and/or a super bright glare-filled room during the day is tricky, but the Samsung does it better than most for that kind of varied environment, at least for OLED that is.
FWIW, we used to have an older Sony A9G OLED in that room, and temporarily tested one of our A95L panels in there too. We still ultimately preferred the Samsung, regardless of how much it sucks admitting that.
