At first I figured Hilary, but it's more likely that McCain will switch sides after the election and be with the dead.

Ha. McCain - he cares about the walking dead.

"Barack Obama defeated Hillary Rodham Clinton by seven votes in the Guam Democratic presidential caucuses Saturday."

Think about it... 6 months ago would you have ever guessed that this kind of information would find its way into your paper? That things would be fought in places some Americans probably didn't realize had a say in the election process (or, in some cases, were even part of America)?

The race continues.

LOL, its sorta true. Hilary is going to lose anyways but has held up to this point partly because of that very fact. Shes totally fake when she speaks to the public, tries to use dirty laundry on obama to get votes, cries about not getting enough votes etc etc etc. I mean do you want this fucking reject of a women running the united states? Not to mention women hate to fucking lose, and she is going to ride this out till the very end instead of doing the honourable thing and stepping aside to the better candidate so they actually have a shot at winning.

Hillary is a great senator. She would probably make a great president...

I was expecting Republicans to open up the race-playbook. But not the Clinton's...

Bill's status with Blacks has to now be rather low for a democrat.... "The First Black President" my ass........ Fuck, Gore and Kerry both did better among blacks than him... But they never got to act as president.

You have to wonder why Guam even has a primary, since they have no electoral college votes... I didn't even know we (U.S.A.) owned Guam. But then stranger things have happened... like UK owning Hong Kong.

I'm actually half Chamorro. I remember my grandpa was telling me about how Guam might really mean something in these primaries.

Being a great senator and using fair play to win the common vote are two dif things. Im not all too familiar with her political career, but she seems to be pulling out all the stops to win this thing regardless of what it does to her personal reputation. Im not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing as it implicates a selling out factor to favor her personal ego, personal intentions or maybe it just shows she does what it takes to get the job done. Im probably asking for to much in this day and age, I personally just like universal good values and a fair fight.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic, but Hillary has no experience in politics, if you're measuring success. Not one bill passed.

She has no support. She sucks. NYers who voted for her are just stupid. There are a lot of stupid NYers.

Reverend Barbara Reynolds is a rabid Hilary supporter.

Guess who personally arranged for Reverend Wright to speak at the National Press Club ?

Barbara Reynolds.

You know, get more of his radical ideas expressed on live televised center stage before Obama had time to disown him.

By the time Obama gets the nod, Hilary will have found several other ways such as this to slander his name into shit. Even after he gets the nod she'll still continue to work behind the scenes to ruin him in any possible way.

Face it, McCain is the next President.

That's one take on that whole thing. I disagree virulently.

McCain's association with Bush still remains a much costlier issue for him. His 100 years comment will be on his political gravestone when this election cycle is over.

Think about it...McCain still polls behind either Hillary or Obama...when the press hasn't laid a glove on him. In months. Ever since he rallied from behind to win the GOP nod, there has been no real criticism aimed at him. Still polling behind. Way before any of the DNC ads have really come out (one finally did, and the RNC whined about it, even though the only dialogue in it was McCain's own '100 years' comment about Iraq).

Hillary and Obama have bloodied each other, yet they both still poll ahead.
Every time people are polled, and asked to pick the generic GOP candidate versus the Democratic one, the Dem wins 51% to 33%. The GOP simply isn't picking up much past the 27% of Americans who still drink the Kool-Aid and think Saddam personally flew those planes into the WTC.

As hotly contested as this primary has been, this is like the Western Conference finals in the NBA. The winner on the Dem side will cruise and shred McCain like the fucking incoherent dinosaur he is.

That's just as of now though. Best believe Hilary will save her best shit slinging for last, but I agree that McCain's stance on the war is his biggest weakness that could cost him the win.

However, countless surveys and polls have shown that the economy has taken center stage over the war now. The average person is too stupid to realize they're directly connected, so whoever blows the "I'm gonna save you money" smoke up the most people's asses could be the winner.

Never forget that a huge portion of the voting block are 100% illiterate when it comes to how the economy, let alone any other aspect of the country works.

I like the propositions to get rid of the gas tax...

Yeah fucking right...

You take off that 20 cents and the price drops to $3.40....

Within a week, the companies creep it back up to $3.55.

Fuck all... If we can strengthen the dollar by 10%, the price of oil should drop 40%.

Clinton will win Indiana by about 5%, Obama North Carolina by maybe 5-9%.

Early polls have Obama ahead in Oregon by 20%. It will probably tighten a little.

this is what everyone is saying. The weak dollar is our biggest enemy. Find a way to strengthen the dollar and you'll see gas prices drop.

The current admin and it's advisors have been devaluing the dollar for the last 8 years....

Thier reasoning: A low dollar increases exports...

WoW! a that's really fucking great idea when your economy is service based and has a huge negative trade imbalance.... Even better when oil is a big part of it....

What can make it even better? How about escalating grain prices because the devalued dollar creates such a high demand for American wheat....

I swear to god, these guys are managing the economy as if it is 1970!

Yeah, that was obviously extremely short-sighted. Even fewer manufacturing jobs are in the states compared to the 80's. Unions have had to recruit service industry employees to make up for the shortfall, and really just a practical recognition that the manufacturing sector has been steadily eroding due to the free trade agreements.

Shouldn't there be some sort of post today?

In any case, Ron Paul is coming to Kentucky next week, I'm considering a road trip to have him sign his new book. Any neo folks in either Louisville or Bowling Green want to meet up?

I dunno, but Obama's a pretty cool dude:

http://uk.reuters.com/article/oilRpt/idUKL0444578520080504

Rebels who have stepped up attacks on Nigeria's oil industry in the last month said on Sunday they were considering a ceasefire appeal by U.S. presidential hopeful Barack Obama.

The Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) has launched five attacks on oil facilities in the Niger Delta since it resumed a campaign of violence in April, forcing Royal Dutch Shell to shut more than 164,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd).

"The MEND command is seriously considering a temporary ceasefire appeal by Senator Barack Obama. Obama is someone we respect and hold in high esteem," the militant group said in an e-mailed statement.

MEND did not say when or where Obama, the leading candidate for the Democratic ticket for November's U.S. presidential election, made the appeal. It said it hoped the government would use any ceasefire to improve conditions for its detained leader, Henry Okah.

Obama is winning by a healthy margin, there are less than 10 primaries left, Clinton is only staying in the race to damage Obama's chances of success in November.
