No one expected 'Rocky' to win the entire year before the fight, either.
It really manages to not work on a single level. Horrible analogy.
Personally, I found that the funniest part of her weak-a$$ attempt at the Rocky analogy was that she actually said "I never quit, I never GET UP."

I think it's strange how most newspapers seem to be correcting this little slip up for her when they print the story.

news: Edwards has ruled out the possibility of being on the ticket as vice president, and Jimmy Carter has hinted strongly that he endorses Obama. Why he doesn't officially announce this I couldn't say.

It's interesting how there's sort of a 'Hillary belt' on the map, stretching along several southwest states and then reaching up from Tennessee to Pennsylvania. Montana and South Dakota appear to be firmly in Obama territory, though.

There was a good article I read, I can't remember where, that did a good job of addressing how Obama dominates in states where the black population is above a certain percent (Mississippi, South Carolina) and below a certain percent (North Dakota, Idaho, etc) --but in states with something like 5-11% (this is a guess), he struggles with Hillary --only winning one or two like Wisconsin. Sort of weird.

Probably to be an old-fashioned Southern gentlemen or something (I mean, if anyone would be that way it would be Carter); but here's the quote from the Nigerian paper that he spoke to while visiting there to give an award:

We are very interested in the primaries. Don’t forget that Obama won in my state of Georgia. My town, which is home to 625 people, is for Obama, my children and their spouses are pro-Obama. My grandchildren are also pro-Obama. As a superdelegate, I would not disclose who I am rooting for but I leave you to make that guess.

Personally, I'm glad that the primary has gone on this long. Sure, it may slow the campaign of money raising schedule against the GOP candidate McCain, but it only means that the Democratic Party will have a better grasp of the strengths and weaknesses of whoever the presumptive nominee is in each state when going into the general election cycle. I think time will bear this out.

I heard Clinton is taking an interesting tact in her Pennsylvania ad blitz... she's running the 3 A.M. in the morning ads again, but this time offering the contrast to McCain... Hmmmmmm....

If Hilary does lose PA, she should seriously drop out, but we all know she won't. Even if she'd of lost TX and Ohio she'd of still stayed in the race.

McCain's entire political career is one giant "opps, I was wrong" years after the fact.

IMO, McCain bet the farm on Iraq, and it's starting to look like the bookies are gonna collect his wager. His reponse to the economic trouble and unemployment is practically non-existent. I don't know what his campaign is doing other than just sitting on their hands.

As of now, he's gonna lay low and let Hilary and Obama tear at each other.

Then come the showdown, he'll bleed the "I'm a war hero, not voting for me is unpatriotic" for all it's worth.

Republicans love hiding behind the bible and the flag. It's a good generic tactic when you know you lack anything worthwhile to say.

What happened ot Ann Coulter? Bitch just disappeared.

Bill Clinton, laying low? After losing his status of the senior statesman, which now belongs to Ted Kennedy it seems, he's afraid of losing much more because of that damn woman.

McCain and Clinton going to the blacks for MLK's memorial, to prove they care about black people. I don't think MLK's ghost bought it. Neither did blacks.

Regarding McCain....
I wonder if Chuck D bought it.

CUNT.

Nice temper there, John.

Mmmm... that article seems to be reaching --we don't know the context/tone of the exchange other than hearsay. I'm going to side with McCain on this --if only that I can relate to getting mad at colleagues (well, more like consultants) and cursing up a storm --though I try to be civil in actual interactions.
