Experts Question Whether Clinton Campaign Finance Case Will Impact '08 Race

Pull the ole "I cant remember" defense.

Also:

"As expected, one of the two major Democratic candidates saw a downturn in the latest NBC/WSJ poll, but it's not the candidate that you think. Hillary Clinton is sporting the lowest personal ratings of the campaign. Moreover, her 37% positive rating is the lowest the NBC/WSJ poll has recorded since March 2001"

Is anyone just a little bit frightened of Obama's relation to Jeremiah Wright?

It just strikes me as a bit odd that no mention of it has been made on this forum at all, since he's considered him his spiritual advisor and someone who "recenters him spiritually". All that racist vitriol he spewed sure isn't helping Obama's reputation.

Meh, it's just like John McCain's ties to John Hagee and other hateful Christians.
Everybody's got an asshole or two in the gang.

According to polls, it isn't hurting him much. Why the hell would I care who his priest is? It isn't like I'm voting for Jeremiah Wright. What's next? Should we interview his barber, high school teachers, and gardners?

What racist vitriol has Wright Spewed? I agree with pretty much everything that I've read...

People should be asking John McCain about stupid shit the fucking pope says.

Besides, I doubt Obama carries the same beliefs seeing that he was raised by "Typical" white people.

PS: Wright looks like he has more whites in his family than Obama.

lol @ neocons trying to stave off the inevitable.

I don't think the election is quite over yet.

I suspected Obama would have explained Wright's preaching as "taken out of context" himself. I can't imagine it would be that hard to say that.

Probably because coming out and making a 5 minute statement about the sound byte being taken out of context would have been weak and had no where near the positive effects that his actual speech did.

Making bad PR work for you, etc. etc.

Seconded.

I read the speech at least twice and must say it has moved me like no other. The man speaks with such conviction like a preacher at the pulpit that it has firmed up my support for Obama. Even in the face of such negative electioneering, he rises above it and addresses the concerns on the mind of every American.

People don't trust people who say things are taken out of context. (They will believe most any accusation though, funny that.)

Don't be willfully stupid about this.

Sadly, my vote doesn't go to the candidate who makes people swoon the most or sounds like a preacher.

"We are the ones we have been waiting for"? Sure, Obama.

This is the same thing as Duvall Patrick's election to governor of Massachusetts - all fluff, no substance.

I think George Bush has negative IQ to be honest.

I'm too humble to believe that the equation thereby makes me the smartest homo sapien in the history of mankind.

I can't even bend spoons with my mind.

Don't forget that Jimmy Carter, who's often viewed as the epitome of liberal and left-winged was a raging southern baptist.

It wasn't till after him during the Reagan sucking up to the Moral Majority that the GOP defined itself as the Party for god and they tried to paint the Democrats as ungodly heathens. This however was a smart move on their part though because to this day there's a massive voting block of christians who'll vote Republican simply because they think it's the godly thing to do.

It's really fucking goofy that the parties sucked religion into the entire thing. Republican and Democrats should differ over economics and governmental power, not who's got more jesus in their tank.
