I really hope that's the minority.

Wouldn't we all, but the truth is so many people are secretly scared of blacks, and any one that isn't a white christian that it drives them to this.

I think once you are 70 you should lose your right to vote, at that point you are too out of touch with society to contribute anymore.

Sending United States military into foreign territory?--That's not "national defense." That's "national offense."

Sorry I couldn't display the sarcasm in my post :), but that the point that I was also trying to make.

That is Very true. According to my Uncle while on his sub the Navy did a lot back in the Cold War with subs spying on Russian ships all the while running silent. The point is the SR71 was the masterpiece of the CIA and had no equal, there was no counter punch to the unit so therefore it was dominant and kept nations on their heels. I don't know why I need to explain this.

Back on topic. I vote McCain.

I can't wait to see people like you brought to their fucking knees.

One of these days you will pay for your ignorance and cavalier attitude.

Until then just continue being a clone of your daddy. Its ok, we all know he will never give you the satisfaction you are dying for anyway. Keep beating your head against that wall homey.

did you guys hear about the republican mailer they sent out in Virginia?
I heard on the radio describing along with the dictators on the front of the
mailer that Baracks eyes were made out to look like Osama's eyes.
a little over estimation I think, I think it looks like Obama and not Osama but I'm sure it'll
fire up the republican base even more.
I think the whole allowance of misinterpretations is just as bad as out and out telling lies.

Again: I feel bad for McCain because this isn't the sort of campaign he probably would like to run. I'd like to think more people with solid military careers tend to have the volume of politics turned down a bit, since they know that --in war-- your comrade's political views aren't going to get in the way of saving your butt. Powell, McCain, Eisenhower, etc... His personal issues aside, Nixon/Ford was the last of the classic Republicans and I wonder if we'll see a return to them if they lose this time around.

I mean: It took 8 years of GWB to cause the Democrats to toss the lame Gore/Lieberman snore-fest and the only slightly better Kerry/Edwards (who could honestly get excited for any of them?) for someone that would've seemed impossible or crazy in 2000: Could you imagine someone telling you in October 2000 that the next president would be a guy named Barack Obama? Its like they reigned back with a bit by picking Biden. To me the equivalent of that would right now would be a serious presidential run by my Congressman, Keith Ellison, who's Muslim. Gore/Lieberman and Kerry/Edwards were just the Clintonian ideas without that impossible to mimic charm that made it palatable. Obama represents (true or not) a new Democratic approach --probably out of desperation and demand against previous "products" that weren't as appealing.

Jump to the Republicans: if they lose, I think they may find themselves forced to reassess and come up with a "new" Republican (or rather go back to the classic Eisenhower/Nixon) to compete. I think it will be a fascinating battle of ideas and help them.

Some people feel that Nixon helped invent the new Republicans, and is therefore one of them. I have to say, based on what I know about 60's politics, that I agree.

But I agree with you that I would like to see the Repulicans reinvented -- perhaps in a form that more closely resembles the Libertarians -- if not bankrupted/utterly annihilated completely within a decade or so. Their current ideology simply will not fly with the upcoming generations.

.

While Nixon helped invent the current Republicant tactics, Nixon was very much a post new deal liberal republican. It was Goldwater that was responsible for the ideology of the new Republicans.

I think Bobak was referring to the Ideological slant.

I would also separate the NEW Republicans from the MODERN Republcian'ts.

New Republicans: 64-1993 (Goldwater, Regan, Bush 41)
Modern Republcan'ts: 1994-Current (Bush 43, Frist, Delay)

Lieberman is a funny little faggot. The guy's mantra has been "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em." Few politicians really irk me as much as he does.

Absolutely, and that actually helps parse out what I was thinking: Tactics, Nixon. Ideology, definitely Goldwater.

Where was Goldwater from? ;) :p

You'd have to look outside of unrelated to know that though :tickled:

:kekeke:

Gah, I got bored with talking endlessly about the same games, the same ports, etc...

More proof we need to merge even more forums if you ask me!

And either way, I may have been mistaken... But this troll asshole is still a retard. :tickled:

Stop bullshitting incoherencies, koldstare.

Wow, tell me how you really feel! I am very proud of my family. A lot of them have served this Great Nation since World War II and my family continues to do so till this very day. In this Country you get what you work for. There is no guarantee of wealth or success, you have to earn this. The land of opportunity, it's there for the taking, there are no handouts. And when you redistribute wealth, you punish those who worked hard for their dream.

Look at how bad Government can screw up things and abuse power. Now they want to increase it, grow the system and increase taxes to do this? This will only compound the issue and once taxes are increased it is VERY hard to get that taken away.
What do you think will happen to all those businesses that will be taxed out of some of their profits, they are just going to say "Oh well, that's the way it is." No, they will lay off thousands of people, it's happening now. Look at GM, look at Ford, look and XM/Sirius. Massive layoffs to recoup profits and now you increase their taxes, it'll cut into prosperity. Living in this Country is not a guarantee of wealth, you have to earn it. It’ll also cut back on prosperity. If you work too hard and enter a higher tax bracket, you can actually make LESS with the new taxes added to your level. This is counter productive.

And don't forget how the war is breaking us!

edit: I mean... not all of us, obviously.

I was going to argue this point, but then I realized it does a good job on its' own.
